hewkii9 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 The Coelacanth. Side view. The engines. Opening. The Coelacanth and pilot. It is swooshable. The EES [Earth Extraplanetary Ship] Coelacanth is a small portal craft. Despite the small engines [mainly used for battery recharging and turning], it is an incredibly powerful warship and exploratory craft. The ship travels [and fights] by opening portals in reality [like the ones in the game Portal]. The portal's uses are limited only by a pilot's imagination - as a result, most pilots are picked from art schools. Stripped-down versions of the craft are also available on the civilian market. Enjoy! Quote
Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Very, very nice! Great color scheme! DSR Quote
Brainbox Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Nice little ship there Hewkii. Lots of neat little details, and the overall design is a good one. I'm wondering though, is the colour scheme at all inspired by Batbrick's recent Space Pod? Quote
Lego12 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Cool ship! I like how your ship has a lot of details in it. Lego12 Quote
Zorro Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Your Coelacanth is a beautifull little ship, I like the building style and the color pattern, and the cockpit has a cool design. It clearly show some good details and your engines are looking realistic as well. Please build more... Quote
hewkii9 Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 Nice little ship there Hewkii. Lots of neat little details, and the overall design is a good one. I'm wondering though, is the colour scheme at all inspired by Batbrick's recent Space Pod? No, although I do like his Space Pod. I just wanted to see what I could build with the amount of dark green I have. And I do have another ship forthcoming, watch out! Quote
Asuka Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 An interesting and pretty smart design with fine details like that front opening. I think it´s not so easy to make small space crafts that´re able to host a MF and you did a fine job on this. Quote
Dr. X Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Aww, it's cute! It almost looks like a little beetle. Very cool, and I like the color scheme. Quote
Rayskull Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Very nice, small and detailed. Very detailed, the engine area is second to none. Quote
Front Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 The coolest thing is really how neatly you managed to squize the cokcpit around the pilot. Front Quote
