Are any of you planning on building a haunted house, spooky graveyard, or other frightfully fun Halloween MOC this season? With Halloween one month away, I'm thinking of building something but not sure what I want to do. I'd be interested to find out more about the spooky creations you might be planning?

I usually make something with the pumpkins that were released a few years ago, and some skellies and studios monsters. One year I got some really tiny lights and put them inside the 3d pumpkin, with great effect.

I'm planning something, whether I actually make it is another question. I'll try though.

Anything inparticular?

I love the Studio monsters, esp. the vampire.

Might have a trick (or treat) up my sleeve!

God, that was lame :sadnew:

I might make a trick or treat scene with pumpkins from the Batcopter.

Those Batcopter pumpkins are SCARY! I like the earlier ones from the 1382 Scary Labratory and 4712 Troll on the Loose. They're a little more classic, a little less nightmare fuel.

That's the idea! Its supposed to be scary!

If I remember correctly, you had some sort of childhood memories of Disneyland, so how about the Haunted Mansion?

Disneyland:

Walt Disney World (This is actually Tokyo Disneyland's, but they are virtually identical)

Doombuggies.com is a great site, as well as Ray Keim's Haunted Dimensions:

I'm thinking of making a small Vampire Moc, if I can get at least two other Vamirex (I only have one "sucker") that is, since they are quite rare and my current Lego-budget has already been used for building my Napoleonical army.

In regard to the MOC I am thinking of a simple graveyard with one newly bitten Vampire arising from his grave, and the two other waiting next to it, holding his first dinner as a welcome surprise. A vampire hunter spies them from behind a grave, standing ready to stop the Vampire Newbie from taking his first bite, and to try to destroy the 2 senior Vampires !

Just a small one, let's say 16x16 or so. But first I must save me some money to buy the bricks I need.

BTW I think horror is a great theme for Lego MOCs !

Thanks for sharing. Doombuggies is a pretty neat site. I was checking out some of the collectibles. I have the Disneyland Haunted Mansion Secret Panel Chest.

Well I've done Phantom Manor and extended the scene to include the church and graveyard in the original concept sketch done by Harper Goff. My scene was displayed at the "Great Western Lego Show" held by the Brickish Association in the UK last weekend (4-5th Oct). The Witches and Warlocks in the graveyard are hosting a soup kitchen for skeletons to which a "Soup Dragon" has arrived uninvited!

And one for the WIP shots of Phantom Manor.

Hope you all like it.
