Posted October 3, 200816 yr Well I finished this a few days ago there was plenty of things wrong with it but I thought I would share it anyways. The BTL-S8 K-Wing Reference: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/BTL-S8_K-wi...ult_starfighter Gallery Edited October 5, 200816 yr by KimT indexed
October 3, 200816 yr Wow that looks pretty cool and accurate to me. Well from the outside anyway. I don't like the bottom chin turret though it looks to big and unwieldy. Good work .
October 3, 200816 yr Dear Rook, that looks amazingly well done indeed. Judging from your reference material though, it appears the engine is attached to both the top and bottom wing. I might, ofcourse, be totaly wrong, since I'm no Star Wars expert. I do like the concept of building models not apearing in the original movies. So keep up the good work! Kind regards, Teddy
October 3, 200816 yr WOW, I can't believe my eyes. You made the exact same as the picture. It is fantastic. Well done! How long did it take you to make?
October 3, 200816 yr I'd never heard of the K-Wing before, but you've done an excellent, superb job of recreating the source picture in LEGO. What a great MOC! Dr. S.
October 3, 200816 yr Totally awesome! I think that the chin turret is jutting out a bit to far. Otherwise,
October 4, 200816 yr Nice MOC, Rook, it looks a bit like the health dropship from ROTS. The overall ship is great, but the bubble turret and canopy don't fit in. Very good.
October 5, 200816 yr It looks very good. I saw this on MOCpages yesterday, and now I have to comment on it. Great job, I enjoy your use of pieces, and how it looks like a K in a way.
October 5, 200816 yr That is great! I like how detailed it is! It looks just like the actual thing! Good job! Lego12
October 5, 200816 yr Stunning work Rook. If this is your first try, then I can't wait to see the final version. How do you find the time to sit down and do these great MOCs?

Like I said plenty of things wrong with it. I need to build up my white brick collection before I try this again. Mars Mission sets here I come! Stunning work Rook.If this is your first try, then I can't wait to see the final version. How do you find the time to sit down and do these great MOCs? I am a fast builder. With no kids and a wife that works long shifts. Lots of time to myself. That is really amazing. Could you possibly post a size-comparison picture. Compared to what? It's wind span is about 2-2.5 feet. And its' maybe 18 inches long. A little longer then the last Y-wing if that helps. Edited October 6, 200816 yr by Rook
October 8, 200816 yr Would the large wings of the MM sets work with this? I did not know of this ship in the Star Wars universe until now. I think you did a great job. This is a massive bomber.
October 8, 200816 yr Author Would the large wings of the MM sets work with this? I did not know of this ship in the Star Wars universe until now. I think you did a great job. This is a massive bomber. Massive!? Clearly you haven't seen my work. Thanks though glad you liked it.
October 10, 200816 yr Massive!? Clearly you haven't seen my work. Thanks though glad you liked it. Massive in size not scale (or is that opposite). I looked the bomber up in the wiki. Much larger than most of the ships the rebels use.
October 11, 200816 yr Amazing it's stunning... I mean wooow. That looks alot like the reference its beautiful.
February 29, 201212 yr Nice work. This appeared in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 game, in a mod for PC It did (Dark Times II I think). But not really a good reason to bump a topic from 2008 .
