DutchRebel Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 (edited) Hi guys, My latest MOC is not the most original one, because LEGO created a nice version last year and the UCS rendition (which I don’t own) was not bad either. I preferred to make a sort of combination of the two with lots of chrome and a cockpit for a minifig, I can also do without the R2-D2 playability issue, as I don’t play with LEGO, I just like them to look good on my shelf! For more pix, check out http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=353055 Hope you like it! Best regards DutchRebel EDIT: Pictures deeplinked Edited November 25, 2008 by KimT Quote

JimBee Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Mmmm.... chrome... . I was seriously considering replacing the grey parts with chrome ones, but I bet chrome pieces are at sky-high prices. Good work! Quote
darkrebellion Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 (edited) Good job DutchRebel . Looking at your model I wish that the TLC will release the Naboo Royal Ship in chrome the next year as the 10 anniversary set but that nearly impossible coming from the TLC . Corvus Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Wow! A lot better than all three of LEGO's. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 That is awesome! Did you get them chromed in Holland? (and if so, where? ) Quote
Millacol88 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 That looks pretty good. I wish TLC would have released their Naboo Starfighter from last year with chromed parts. I'm sure they're more expensive to produce, but I would have gladly shelled out a few more bucks for those awesome chrome parts. Quote

DutchRebel Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 Hey KimT, you are the MOD here, but let me do the replying okay? Because my fellow dutchmen captain green hair was absolutely right, there are a couple of customized parts in this design. The slope on the front is made of two 8x1 pieces without studs, connected together underneath, on top I put a chrome sticker. Did the same thing on the 8x1 pieces on the back of the wing. groeten DR Quote
djo Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 wow, really interesting custom. i never thought of putting chrome sticker on it. nice idea indeed. wow, really interesting custom. i never thought of putting chrome sticker on it. nice idea indeed. Quote
