Jlblue Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Well, I'm sure none of you know me yet. But this is a Lego comic that I've posted on a few other sites, and I'm really proud of it. I figured that since I joined, I may as well post it here as well. Basically it's Robin Hood, but in modern times. It stars Rob Loxley, a resident of the (fictional) crime-ridden city of Nottingham, New Jersey. Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Enjoy. Quote
Da Death Star! Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Great story, good idea too.Modern Robin hood. . . . .That has DEFINITELY never been done before. . . . . . . Can't wait for Part five! -The guy whose name sounds uncomfortably like a DSS- Quote
Guss Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I just read it all ^^ where is the part 5 ! ^^ that's nicely done, I loved it ! as Da Death Star said, that has never been done before! great Idea! I'm looking forward for part 5 ^^ Quote
z_zadar Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Great idea, and great story. Really good storytelling, very dramatic. The photos are somewhat small, and sometimes blurry, but it's of lesser importance. Give us part 5 !!! Quote
Jlblue Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 I'm glad you guys are enjoying this. I was hoping to film a new part and get it up soon, but no such luck. It seems my camera's being uncooperative. Well, I'll figure something out soon. The next little section I have planned is really good. Ha ha... I'm such a tease. Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Wow, what a creative comic you've been making. I've found this comic very addictive. I love the premise of it - a classic story with a modern twist. You've put some great writing into this. All of the personalities of the characters are very well developed and the pace of the comic is perfect. I love the photography you've used - it has a real dark and gritty feel to it, and it reflects the story well. Great work, I love it so far. I can't wait to read the rest of it. Quote
JimBee Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 Very impressive comic, JlBlue. Very nice story telling, and it was easy to follow. A little violent, but the cool MOCs make up for it. I loved the part when Father Tucker beat the gangster up- and then walked away, humming. Quote
Jlblue Posted January 10, 2009 Author Posted January 10, 2009 Bump/Update. First off, I'm glad you're all enjoying it. Secondly, I've done a lot since I first posted it, now I've finished up Part Four and started Part Five. Part Four Part Five Hopefully now that I'm active a little bit more I'll remember to update it more frequently. I'm hoping for one today or tomorrow. Quote
Silent-Sigfig Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Hey, JLblue. Nice to see you here. I suppose I'll post SUPER here now. Quote
Lego12 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Very good comic, I read part 4 and 5 today and I have to say the comic is addicting....good story plot! 5/5 from me! Quote
Jlblue Posted January 15, 2009 Author Posted January 15, 2009 Now that I've posted all of that stuff, I'll post new parts right in the thread from here on out. Quote
Zepher Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I just read parts one and two, they're both very good! I will read the others later. My advise would be to show only Lego though, not table top. Over all it's awesome! I have to go do some Robin Hood Research. Quote
Silent-Sigfig Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Nice part, as always. Is Cantrell my charachter? Quote
Jlblue Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 Yeah, he is. And so is Luchiano. He's that mob boss from Super. Yeah... sorry I killed Luchiano. Quote
Silent-Sigfig Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Oh yeah, that two-bit. I didn't recognize him. Thanks. Quote
Jlblue Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 In your comic, you described him as being, "responsible for most of the drugs in the northeast." Two-bit? (Exactly sixteen. I counted. ) Quote
Silent-Sigfig Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) In your comic, you described him as being, "responsible for most of the drugs in the northeast." Two-bit? Yeah, all he did was kill Jason's brother and hijack a bus. Ah, yet another one-bit charachter from SUPER. I think this one's named Viktor, or Bruno, or something. Cool part. Da Death Star! Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Just saw the new episode on BS.Wow,I didn't think that Prince would go as far as WAR. Quote
Jlblue Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 They were useless. I'm in the process of weeding out the unwanted characters before the finale. Quote
Silent-Sigfig Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHA That was rediculously funny. Well, Loserlo's dead, so i suppose that's taken care of. Quote
