mrts Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Hey all again! Sorry to bother you with another cccvi entry i made haha. This moc took waaay longer then planned haha but i finally finished it. Inn: The Empty Barrel Somewhere in the country side on a t-junction of roads there is a popular inn called “The Empty Barrel”. Travelers from all over the country come here to have a moment to relax and get drunk. The Empty Barrel is a name that off course invokes a lot of jokes and laughs in the Inn. But nobody really knows the real reason why this inn is called this way….The actual reason for the name is that in the cellar of this inn there is a large barrel. People think it’s filled with tons of beer, but it is in fact empty! This huge barrel is the secret entrance to a wolf pack hideout which is located right underneath the inn! Folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=355242 Also there are a lot of detail photo's this time, so be sure to also check the details folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=355243 So please let me know what you think of it! Edit: Deeplinked a picture Quote
hewkii9 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Brilliant, I love the walls on the inn and the curved plate barrels, very detailed. The entrances to the hideout are very clever, too! Quote
KimT Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Wauw, that's one stunning MOC. You've added so much detail, that I'll be stuck in that brickshelf folder of yours for hours. Luckily I have to sleep now and wont have the time until tomorrow. Thanks for sharing Quote
Erdbeereis Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 That's just brilliant. So much detail on the walls and those huge kegs= . Great work on the tiled floor as well, it's just such a lively scene isn't it? Fantastic work! Quote
iamded Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 This is fantastic! I love the wall details, I'm definately using this style (with due credit of course). Heh, the secret entrance in the barrel reminds me of a level in Hitman: Blood Money, where this same concept was used. ~Peace Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Fantastic! I'm gonna go get lost in all those pics after work! Great detail; all those extras really make this shine. Quote
NewRight Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Brilliant entry into CCC. The giant keg along with the smaller kegs are amazing together. Quote
Zepher Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Do my eyes decieve me or is the giant barrels a passage way into a back room? Anyway, this is fantastic! I'll be looking thorugh your BS now! Quote
SWMAN Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 That is really great. The hideout behind the barrel is really cool. You should add another entrance through the well. Just a thought. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Holy freaking crap! That is pure, untainted genius! Good job! Quote
JimBee Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Wow, wonderful! Everything is spectacular.... the well, the detailed interior, the man puking, and the sheer attractiveness. There are some interesting techniques in here, such as the barrel secret passageway, the candles, the spilling drink, and the removable inn to reveal the hideout... amazing work once again, mrts. Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I lol'd at the guy in the corner of the room. I think he's hurling. Quote
Razzer Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Thats beautiful ! Although, if we're honest, the Empty Barrel isn't the smartestname for the Inn if they want to keep the Wolfpack hideout a secret... Quote
KimT Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I lol'd at the guy in the corner of the room. You what now at who? I think he's hurling. Good spotting, that's hilariously well done. Quote
BlueBard Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Bravo! So brilliant idea you had using the barrel as a secret tunnel! And the wolfmen hideout is very well done too, it reminds me a bit to the Gondor Raiders from LOTR Quote
mrts Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 (edited) Thank you all for these wonderfull replies! I'm glad the barrel thing is a succes! Oh and yes that guy is vomiting! That is really great. The hideout behind the barrel is really cool. You should add another entrance through the well. Just a thought. Actually the well already is an 2nd entrance to the hideout. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/MrTS/CCC...ty-Barrel/3.jpg When you look to the right you can see the prisoner. Right next to him are some archways with a small corridor leading to the well. Also all the way to the right on this photo you can see a ladder and some secret steps to climb out of the well. Zepher Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I cuahg that too! Over all fantastic work, the swinging scene is also great! Quote
WhiteFang Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 Outstanding piece of creation! I am very impressed by the scale and its interior of the moc very much. Thanks for sharing it with us, and good luck with the contest. I am curious if you have bought the giant chess set as well? The flooring kind of reminds me of the chess board though. Quote
Aliencat Posted December 11, 2008 Posted December 11, 2008 Awesome creation! There aren't many MOCs as full of interesting details as this one. Great job as usual! Quote

GC8Monkey Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I love all the great little details. Every table tells its own story. This would be a top notch MOC even without the hideout. Add it and (pardon the pun) a new level is added. I love the patrons who had a hard time holding their ale. Hehehe! Quote
alex12 Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Dude that is awesome. I'm affraid i'm not that creative and have to wait for lego to do it for me. Quote
