Aliencat Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 Deep in the empty desert, a band of crusading nobles lay siege to a castle that had seemed abandoned when they first approached, but appears to be garrisoned by some most unusual inhabitants. (Pictures are deeplinks to larger ones) Some of the christian archers had positioned themselves on a raised bit of land over an old mine entrance just outside the walls to get a better shot at the enemy troops on the walls. It turns out that wasn't the best place to set down. Here's the siege tower the crusaders used: And here's some of the minifigures that duke it out in this siege. A brickshelf folder with more pictures can be found here. Quote
Fordo Jumping Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 I like the tower truely... and the details are quite marvelous, too crusader!! um.... a new material maybe can add my castle troops Quote
Dragonator Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 This is a very cool siege entry, you have used some nice techniques to give a very appealing effect. I absolutely love what you do with the minfigs, they look so alive and very much real. Your custom faction is very cool too, the shields look great! There is a lot of action going on there which is really what a siege entry needs. Really a nice piece of work, you've made some really interesting builds for this contest and this is definitely one of my favourites. Good luck in the contest! Quote
GloriusShadow Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 You do know Elsweyr is in Elder Scrolls games do you? Well, fantastic entry! I especially like the rough and "well used" look on the castle wall. Good job! Quote
Aliencat Posted December 14, 2008 Author Posted December 14, 2008 Hey thanks a lot for the nice comments! :) You do know Elsweyr is in Elder Scrolls games do you? Yeah I'm not too familiar with it since all I played was Morrowind, but it's where the Khajit are from right? Quote
SWMAN Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Very cool. I really love the crusaders. The siege tower and castle are nice. I also like the underground tunnel that has the undead coming out of it. Quote
NewRight Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Every detail if perfectly displayed. Great MOC! Quote
Teddy Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Dear Aliencat, I like the use of the tan color. Did you use old grey and old dark grey in your MOC? Because, I always find light bley turns blue and tan turns yellow when they are combined side by side. the siege tower is a nice touch. Although personally, I like to separate fantasy elements from historic events (in this case the crusades), I think you did a good job here with all the action. So in all I really like this MOC. Kind regards, Teddy Quote

Hoboman Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I love this MOC. The colors you have selected give this a special feel. It isnot the standard Grey. On top of this the total battle is wonderful. I really like the tower build too. Well Done. Quote
ziljin Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Is one of the crusader's shield missing part of its emblem? Quote
