Bossk Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 (edited) I've make a diorama of the battle of Geonosis . For my Christmas 2008, I bought 164 Tan plates : and Brown, DarkOrange, Orange, Tan parts on bricklink. I've make some Walker's(AT-TE or other walkers) "footprint" for the fun . I needed an AT-TE fot this diorama. So I put my own UCS AT-TE on the diorama . I will buy two hailfire droid 4481 for this . Ok, I know the AT-TE and the Hailfire aren't at minifig scale . It's not a problem for me... Photos now : You can see a clone who is stuck in a quicksand. Quicksand on Geonosis ? Man, it's juste for the fun : http://www.weplug.com/mediabig203086.html the clone is seated and covered of Tan parts I know, I need to buy many clone battle pack, and droid battle pack Damn, this clone is completely lost Did not you ever used a gun man ? You don't see droid on the diorama . I need to buy many, many, many droid battle pack . Need money.. Edited February 5, 2009 by KimT Quote
Motti Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Interesting work there. I've seen other Geonosis battle scenes on brickshelf before. Adding LOTS of troops on both sides helps a lot. You might also have too many walker trcks, they look a bit like bomb craters to me. I also like adding obstacles, such as those tower spire things(the organic type) , but they may be hard to realise in LEgo. Hope your scene is completed soon so we can enjoy it. Quote
General Armendariz Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 That looks great so far, man, keep up the good work. P.S. That AT-TE is WAAAY to big. Quote
SWMAN Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 WOW. 164 plates. That is crazy. I am excited to see how it will turn out. Quote
darkrebellion Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 Well this sounds and look great Bossk . I think a Geonosis diorama is a good idea and I will wait to see how this all ends . I think your AT-TE is awesome but a little bit big for your diorama. I don´t mean that the clones look really small compared but it really occupied space. I can´t see how you will put two 4481 in it. Maybe if you get the new AT-TE and 2 or 3 7670 sets it would look more proportioned. I also recommend to add some rock foliage in the scene where the clones can hide during the battle and some injuried clones as well. Also some destroyed droids in the battlefield could be a good idea. If you have some Jedis I suggest you to add 1 or 2 of them so the battle will look more like the Geonosis Battle. So far is going pretty good. Good job . Quote
General Magma Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Man, 164 plates! That's just great! That AT-TE is WAAAY to big. Indeed, I wanted to say that too. Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Wow thats like a piece of art and that UCS AT TE looks stunning! Quote

Zepher Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 The AT-TE is stunningly well built. I'd advise only Phase 1 clones however. Can't wait to see the droid side! Quote
Darth Legolas Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Yeah, I really think this is a great model, but you really shoulkd make all of those Phase 2 troopers Phase 1! Unless... they're from the fuuuuuture! Great job on the AT-TE also, and I think the clone stuck in the sand is an awesome idea! Quote
Millacol88 Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Looking good so far. I see your using that great MOC AT-TE. One complaint I do have, though, is that you have kind of a mixture of Phase 1 and 2 clones. Other than that, it looks awesome. can't wait to see what it looks like when its finished. Quote
-JD- Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Thats awesome! I like the quicksand. Shame it didn't have that on Star Wars Battlefront II. You could have a Spider droid submerged in the quick sand as well. JD Quote
CloneMe Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Holy crap. That AT-TE Is huge. Wow. Thats pretty good though. Quote
Bossk Posted February 3, 2009 Author Posted February 3, 2009 (edited) New : I've removed Walkers' footprint . Because I want to make a Hailfire, crashed by an AT-TE . Well, I don't speak English very well, so I will show you : 1: Here will be the Hailfire crashed by AT-TE's guns . 2: Here are hailfire's "footprint"(they not really have foot...so...I think you understand ..) 3: Here, you can see an oasis, and clones who are swimming in . I will show you more pics of this . 4:Here will stand another Hailfire . 5: Here will be some droid, spider droid, battle droid, droideka,... I don't want to buy 4481 hailfire droid. Because it's a Technic set, and for the crash, I need hailfire's "whels" demountables . So I will make my own hailfire droid, with parts from Bricklink . Now about the oasis : I wanted more originality in my diorama, so I wondered : " What can I see in a desert?" Now, you know the answer . There is water, palm tree, and of course...clones who are in holidays... I saw your comments about "the AT-TE is too big"... Yes, I know, but, at first, I wanted too make a diorama with my own AT-TE, so now it's a diorama of UCS creations . But I can't make bigger figs . Edited February 3, 2009 by Bossk Quote
Skipper 24 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Nice update . The oasis is really great and adds humour to the diorama.By the hailfire 'footprints' I assumed you meant track marks. Right? Keep it up. Quote
AoNZ Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I like how you have that clone pulling the other out of the quick sand. Great work and keep going! Quote

Right? Keep it up. Yes, I meant "track marks" but I didn't know how said it in English . Well...Thanks you . You can see on this pic, these track marks : Quote
Loganwan Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 It is going to be fun to see when an actual battle gets underway. I am looking forward to the CIS presence, but you did not leave them much room on their side of the battle. It looks like it is going to be a massacre (as if the CIS ever won anything). Quote
Bricks Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Great work! I must really say, I love this Geonosis. It's still get more impressive. Your little joke is great, since months a great Moc-Builder said: ''If you have an little joke, the fans will be remind your creation!'' So thanks for sharing and good luck for future work. Oky Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I like the improvements that you have done. The oasis scene is a nice touch, even though it doesn't make any sense (They are taking a vacation in the middle of a battle?? ). I think it would have been funnier, though, if you would have used figs that look like the beach troopers from LSW. The figs that you used don't look much like clones, you know. It would even help if you would just exchange their heads with flesh toned ones. Either way, the figs in your diorama are still waaay out of scale, though. I wanted too make a diorama with my own AT-TE, so now it's a diorama of UCS creations . But I can't make bigger figs . Why not? You could use miniland-scale figs, like these or maybe even figs like these. Those would fit into your diorama much better IMO! Quote

I will change that . -I really like the clone at miniland scale, I worked on a battle droid for the dio. : I just need to change some parts who aren't at the good color (like the tile on the head and other...) But you can see that : the droid is now too big for the AT-TE scale (It's an old pic when I had not yet made the update.) Quote
Oky Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 -I think you're right about the use of other minifigs in the oasis . I will change that. -I really like the clone at miniland scale I'm glad you like my suggestions. So... does that mean you will use such miniland scale figs for your dio? I worked on a battle droid for the dio. I just need to change some parts that aren't in the right color (like the tile on the head and other...) Those look pretty good! They are also a good way of recycling the battle droid minifigs. But you can see that the droid is now too big for the AT-TE scale (It's an old pic from when I had not made the update yet). Really? Hm... If that's so, it might not be a good idea to use miniland-scale clones in your dio after all, since those would be even bigger than those droids you made. But perhaps you could try to design clones and droids that are at the right scale? that would be perfect. Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Love the droids! You couldn't have made them better Quote
Ras 74 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Really big project you have there. How big is that AT-TE by the way to the "original" from TLC? That seems like a nice moc as well by the way. But from how big the AT-TE looks, it looks like your diorama by now is 1/4 of what it could be to be in justice. Is there plans for any RGS or so as well? -Ras- Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 There is one problem with the droids. The heads do not look like real droids Quote
