xwing-awesome story. You should have just run over them all over with the humvee. ;) That thing is huge!

I like the dinos sort of. I really don't care for the little ones. The medium one isn't all that great but the jumbo dinos are very nice. I really want a black/green one.

I will wait until I find them on sale near Christmas though.

lol you cant really bring down a mutant T-Rex with a few chains! they need guns.

What I dont understand is why they took out the guns in the European version and kept it in the American version but in the old pirate lines they took out the firing cannons in the American version and kept them in the European version, both due to violence issues and laws... *wacko*

I had a talk with a LEGO employee today. She explained why there's a Dino 2010 and a Dino Attack.

LEGO did a survey in Germany (the hot spot for selling LEGO in EUROPE) and apparently the German mothers wouldn't buy Dino Attack for their children = LEGO changed the theme to Dino 2010 excluding the weaponry. This lead to massive sales in Germany. Simple as that :| The Germans didn't want weapons = no weapons. THANKS GERMANY ;)

NB She also said that as far as she was informed Batman will NOT be release uotside the US >:(

But the T-1 Typhoon just looks so...sad...without guns and rocket pods :(

I mean hell, even the vikings have better weapons to fight the dragons and monsters then the Dino 2010 guys have to fight laser-beam firing dinosaurs :P

Heck, how about the fact that it doesn't have a rear gunner, but a tricycle on the back. A big helo like that to carry a red tricycle. And a net. Oh the humanity.

Better yet, CHAINGUNS!

Yeah, laws. I think the cannons you're talking about are different than the cannons that come with the Dino set, right?

If so, it's a choking hazard law.

Back in the late 1970's, some STUPID kid here swallowed and died on a plastic missille fired from a Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider.

Yup... it's all THAT thing's fault. VVVV

It was the tiny pellet type that EVERY imported japanese robot toy had back then. They were then outlawed. Toys SUCKED for a very long time afterwards... neutered so bad from their overseas counterparts that it could make one cry.

We got The Transformers a few years later in the 1980's, but unlike the japanese versions, Hasbro removed and or shortened the springs inside their missille launchers to the point they couldn't fire. (Leading to many a spring-loaded pen being cannibalized on the operating table in the lunchroom at school by me and my friends.) XD

Voltron as well, and too many other cool toys to start mentioning.

But recently, toy manufacturers got around the annoying laws by making GIANTLY-stemmed projectiles, like the Lego rubber darts. The tiny cannons however didn't fit the strict requirements.
