here is a short review of the new mini tie :)

First of all with a set of this size it is vital to sort out the parts into the right colours :D

img_2451.jpg

After a very quick but quite fun build the tie is done.

And the back.

As you can see from this picture the TIE is a good size

Only a couple of parts left at the end.

Well that's it! A good little set with good parts too.

(well i do like the minis :classic: )

I picked it up from BL about 2 months ago. I did a review back then on BH but i only just noticed there was not one here.

Ahh..

Thanks for posting it here as well.

I've added it to the index and also added a poll.

A neat little Tie..now excuse me, I am off to get this from BL

Fine review! Thanks

I Can't wait to find one of these. Cheapest i can find is $13 on BL  (which i would probably still buy... if he accepted paypal :cry_sad: )

If anyone has one for sale please LMK!

that seller has loads too ... but he's only sold a few because he's in Russia and doesn't accept Paypal. I don't trust Western Union as far as I can throw it.

Awesome lil thingy! :classic:

The only thing that bugs me is that it's not all that "mini" ya know...

I wish it'd be in scale with the mini falcon from some time ago.

Yeah right, then I'd be smaller than small.

The minis have never been in scale with each other.

Doing so would make no sense at all.

Imagine how small they'd have to make the AT-ST compared to the ISD.

Thanks for the review.

Not much of a SW fan but it's a cute little desktop model.

I would Never pay 13$ for something that only costs 5$ on LDD:

LDD Purchase

Haha thanks xenologer, I may order that one (I even like the color scheme better!). Only problem is I won't have printed instructions, but I can live without that.

Anyone know why they released another Mini Tie Fighter when they already had one (3219)?

The other one is old.. Did you say that when the new AT-TE came out too?

They just re-release it with a new design, like they did with the RGS, AT-TE, MF, etc. but mini's DO have to get re-released too!

Where did you get this?

I have had several of those since May last year.

They were giving them away at ToysRus with every purchase above 25 EUR of SW sets.

They are great against the MF.

I even did a MOD of it.

After turning the wings of 90, we have a nice mini TIE crawler.

I forgot, with LDD, you don't have the right colours...

I have this set thanks to a contact of mine.

Modified to into a proper looking Mini TIE Fighter, with light gray parts replacing the blue ones.

Will post an image of it when I get the chance.
