SlyOwl Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I would have built something like this for the CCCVI, except there was no Celebration/Festival category, and it wouldn't have helped qualify me for the Master Builder, as I had 2 entries in Misc. already Quote
Natman8000 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Oh my gosh, the little trolls are so cute! This is such a great Moc and idea! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 That's brilliant. Extremely cute and colorful, and the landscaping is great as well. Do those sideways leaves just lodge in to the others? Fantastic little MOC! Quote
Zorro Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 This looks fantastic, Slyowl, the Orclings are original and funny, I presume the big Troll is their mommy or something ? I also like the underground and tree: the dirt under it adds a level of realism to your MOC. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 I want candy now! Well done on a great build and productive CCCVI as well, I have enjoyed looking at all your creations Hope to see you enter in the Staff section of the CCBuild competition coming up too Quote
KimT Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Where did they hide the candy? How long are they going to hit the Piñata? Does the orcs have rules on Human Cruelty? Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 (edited) Very nice! The tree looks great, I love the gritty ground and the little trolls are hilariously cute! Can we expect to see an MOC detailing the breaking open of the pi Edited January 18, 2009 by TinyPiesRUs Quote
SlyOwl Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Thanks all Extremely cute and colorful, and the landscaping is great as well. Do those sideways leaves just lodge in to the others? Yup. The trouble with the leaf pieces is they're made of a plastic that doesn't hold onto studs very well, so whilst I had originally attached most to branches, it ended up as a jangled mess. This looks fantastic, Slyowl, the Orclings are original and funny, I presume the big Troll is their mommy or something ? Yeah. I don't particularly like the idea of having both big and small fully grown trolls (whereas in LOTR there is a distinct species difference between orcs and trolls), so I didn't want to use a normal minifig troll (and I only have 3). Hope to see you enter in the Staff section of the CCBuild competition coming up too I will, although this is the first I've heard of it Where did they hide the candy? How long are they going to hit the Piñata? Does the orcs have rules on Human Cruelty? 1. The piñata comes ready made from the shop (castle), full of candy. 2. Until the candy comes out. 3. Yes. But they're more guidelines, as such. Can we expect to see an MOC detailing the breaking open of the piata? I really need to be getting on with a Pirate project that I've put on hold for the past few days, so it's destroyed already Quote
Fordo Jumping Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Oh~those orcs are so cute. But the hair looks strange, The scene is perfect. whether the tree or the soldier or the giant monster Say, the basis is awesome, too. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Great MOC, as always from you. I like how the small trolls "learn" about the knights ( where you can hit them for the best result?) Great work! Quote
mania3 Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 This is hilarious! What a clever idea for a new Castle MOC! I love the little troll children. This is classic. Great job. Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Cute MOC. A bit too grim for me though. I imagine them hitting the guy multiple times just to get the crunchy and meaty insides. Quote
kill will Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Great MOC, as always from you. I like how the small trolls "learn" about the knights ( where you can hit them for the best result?) Great work! Really, LOL. Too bad you took it apart though! Quote
Derek Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Haha! I love how the colors of that troll with the orange hair and jester shirt completey clash. Quote
Norro Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 A little sick, but so well executed! God Bless, Nathan Quote
