darkrebellion Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 WOW!!! This just looks like one of the best GG I have seen in minifig scale . You really capture the feel of the GG in this MOC and looks like you get all his position combat angle right . Also very clever use of paper in the head and the BD head . Quote
Bricks Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Awesome work! This is the best figure, I've seen from your work. It look's better than the one from TLC. I love especially your head-method, this is really great, to turn around a normal battledroid head. Thank's for showing this with us! Greetings 'Bricks' Quote
Skipper 24 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Yet again you astonish me with your amazing work on droids. If only TLC made those parts in white then it would be complete! Great work again . Quote
VBBN Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Great work! I love how it uses the droid head. Great work. Quote
Eskallon Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 That looks great. You really capture GG body movement and the head is simply amazing.Great work. Quote
Thor Lund Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Wow, the figure really looks alive the way you have captured the movement. Impressive. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 This one's my favorite. Who knew you could pull it off? By the way, what material is the cape? Keep up the good work! Quote
General Magma Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Wow! Another greaat MOC! Awesome. BTW, will you ever make it white too? Quote
-JD- Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Speechless..... You really need to work for TLC! JD Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 These are all awesome creations, but Grievous is my favourite Truly creations worthy of frontpaging too. Well done Quote
General Armendariz Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Wow! that is so awesome! I love it . The greatest one yet! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Stunning to say the least. Much better than the official version. Quote
hollisbrick Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 This is definately the best one so far! You've done an awsome job And using the BD head is pure genious!!! Quote
Legoking Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 Very nice work! I really like how your general grievous actually looks like the real one in the movie. Quote
mania3 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 This is incredible. LEGO should be taking notes. The real Grievous figure is laughable compared to this. Quote
MicroM Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Great MOC. I was just checking out the minifig index and saw TLC's version, as others have said, your version is really well done! Quote
hopeso009 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 Thank You Thank You I am so happy to see all of your replies on this one... Especially regarding to saying this one is better than the TLC's one. Why I build this one? 1. I love the figure of GG!!! too stunning...almost can't walk but fight rigorously 2. TLC version is a bit too "funny"...GG is not like that...(I think) So I am so happy now I have a GG (my GG) now Thanks again for your appreciation Quote
hopeso009 Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 This one's my favorite. Who knew you could pull it off? By the way, what material is the cape?Keep up the good work! The material of the Cape is simply paper (white printing paper) the head addition is not just paper It is a sandwich of "masking tape + paper + masking tape" "masking tape" is already in pale-yellow (tan) color with texture on it... I used this tape to do the Magna Guard's head also... Then cut the shape you needed and addhesive to the back of the droid head... Interesting thing is that the original droid head has two nuts at the "ear" location in this GG, these two nuts are exactly helpfull to support the "paper" at lower portion of the head and make the paper bend naturally symmetrically. ditto Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 love how you used the head. lego should really think about redesigning grievous. Quote
pr0visorak Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Great work! I agree with the rest that your general grievious is the best. Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 The best minifig version of General Grievous that I have ever seen! Very nice and creative use of the battle droid. Quote
Future74 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 OMG Incredible! I am totally amazed how simple and effective this is. Thought it would take you some time to come up with a design, but you outdid yourself this time Quote
