Piotr Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) V-LI-05E Hi! This is my first excavator in minifig scale: "Caterpillar 320D L". I was building this two days. BS Flickr Movie: Photos: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Special thanks for Jerac and M_longer for advice! Edited April 20, 2012 by Phred Quote
BillytheKid Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I only looked at the pic and I think this moc is amazing. It looks like the real one. Great job . Quote
Ricecracker Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 (edited) This is phenomenal! It looks so realistic, wonderfully done. I hope you don't mind me stealing borrowing some parts of your design, I was planning on making one myself. Also, drinking on the job? Not safe IMO -Ricecracker Edited February 5, 2009 by ricecracker Quote
MatthewUSA Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 This MOC is AWESOME!!! piotr. I am speachless about it. I do not know what else to say. GREAT JOB!! I was curious if you modeled this from brochure pictures on the Caterpillar website? If you are a fan of Cat equipment, definitely check out their website. I have downloaded quite a few of brochures for the specs and pics for models I would like to begin. Model On!! Quote
legofan Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 WWOOWW!! First of all, thank you so much for sharing! It really looks very good! Immediately one thought comes to my mind the instant i set eyes on this: Can u sell this model to me?? It's great! The details are truely amazing! Would perfect it if u had decals and attached the CAT wordings to it, but i guess that's not possible due to license.. Truely amazing minifig size excavator! 11/10!! Quote
prateek Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 if i didnt read the title i wouldve thought it was the real thing!! good job the arm is my favourite part Quote
Asuka Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 A very sleek and accurate looking work with fine proportions, very charming in appearance. The arm´s wonderful designed and well articulated, although perhaps not highly poseable due to its a little flawed resistance to gravity... Quote
djo Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 very nice MOC. looks like the real thing. especially the color sheme and the hydraulic. great technique. awesome man. Quote
Brickmaster Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 This barely looks like lego atall! That is really something not easily achieved. Well done, man. Quote
