UPDATE: Fresh new pics added! Scroll down a bit to see them!

I have recently been busy with building a snow plough. I got inspired after finding one of my old toys:

However, the build seemed to be far harder than I expected. In fact, it is the first build that I had to make some blueprints for. Here is a pic of my (until now) best solutions of some of the problems of the build:

I have only begun to build the main part of it. Here is some pics of it so far:

I have also discovered a way to get the turning space parts to point forward again. I´ve always found it annoying that the trucks using the space coupling part always are so loose (in the coupling that is), making it impossible to for example push the vehicle forward without it turning. These pieces prevent that:

(Also, please note that I won´t be able to post any progress of it in about a week, because I´m going on a trip with my class in school.)

Please tell me what you think about it so far, also I´d love to get any tips about how to build it (the blueprint pic shows a rude drawing about how I want it to look. :classic:

UPDATE:

Here´s an overwiew of it now:

A close-up pic of the cockpit:

Unfortunately I couldn´t put a door there, so I had to stick with the classic lift-off roof, although this time with a bit more SNOT than normally:

Here´s a pic of the back:

(And yes, I know I haven´t put the grill part straight, but it´s fixed now. )

I´m still struggling ith the front part of it. I have gotten a few tips on how to do it, but more tips is, like constructive criticism, always welcome. :classic:

I like. Looks like it will ba a good model.

Be intrested in how you are going to do the lift arms for the plow.

Thanks!

My best idea so far is using the pieces from 7630 (adding a few pieces), as seen on the bottom right corner on the blueprint photo. (Here is a link to the piece. )

However I have encountered some problems with that technique, so I might have to find another solution.

nice start! I think you're going to have some difficulty with the rest, kinda hard to do !

btw, I love your "building scheme" quite funny to see how you're going to have a lot of headaches doing it XD

Yeah, it is pretty hard. :sceptic:

However, that scheme really helps, because when I´m using it, I can compare things by drawing them up instead of just thinking it. This is useful especially wif I wouldn´t have the parts for something and have to know exactly which parts to order.

I have tried to build a front end loader in Mini fig scale using those arms with this bucket and found them insuficiant in getting the bucket up to a sutable tipping height. Maybe you will have more luck.

Looking great so far  . I personally am not liking the stickers on the slopes at the back. Maybe if you have one, try one of these on the back? I have many of those plows in my city, and they tend to have a triangular sign on the back.

I know what you mean with the back part. I´m not really satisfied with that either, but I have to use those pieces because they are holding up the structure inside (because the back is 3-wide while the rest is 4-wide), so if I remove them the back part will become weak. However, that part would be really nice looking at the back of it, I´ll try to find a solution to using those pieces without weakening the structure. :classic:

its getting better  that new tractor piece is really helpful

Thanks! :sweet:

Oh, no. I think the slopes on the back look fine, just not the stickers. I was suggesting taking off the stickers, and trying to source that sign to add.

Whoa, that was a fast answer! :oh:

Ah, ok.

Ok, I´ll do that and post a pic of how it looks like afterwards. Thanks! :sweet:

Wow looks great man!

Especially the cabin and the rear fenders and grill are well done.

I think the mudguards above the rear wheel coiuld use some improvement, perhaps you can use some old hinge plates or something with cheeses?

Well yeah, there is none now.

You are right, it kinda looks plain. I´ll see what I can do about it.

Thanks! :sweet:
