WesternOutlaw Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Lego Wild West Frontier Patrol, 6706 - released 1996, $6.99 U.S.D. A small troop set for your Wild West collection, my 2nd WW set. I just wish I had purchased a few more of these. Different view: The back of the box: This is a great troop set to add to your Union army. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 25, 2005 Governor Posted November 25, 2005 Besides Count Sneffy's local store, where does this set retail for under US$7? On BrickLink the cheapest is US$15... Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 25, 2005 Author Posted November 25, 2005 I haven't seen this set for under $12 - $15. I doubt you can still find it for less. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 25, 2005 Governor Posted November 25, 2005 Lego Wild West Frontier Patrol, 6706 - released 1996, $6.99 U.S.D. Yeah, that's what I'm getting at. This set is valued at US$6.99 according to you. Did you get that figure off LUGNet? Perhaps LUGNet should consider reviewing some of their prices because unless you have a lucky eBay find, MISB sets from the mid 90's backwards aren't cheap. Quote
Hobbes Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 LUGNET shows the price when the set came out, not what it's worth now. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 25, 2005 Governor Posted November 25, 2005 That's fair enough then, but that does explain how The Brickster stated the price as US$6.99. Where'd he get that price from? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 25, 2005 Author Posted November 25, 2005 That was the original U.S. price when the set was released - not the current market value. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 25, 2005 Governor Posted November 25, 2005 That seems like a good price for what this set includes. Its a pitty the Imperial Guards didn't have a set this small with this many figures. Well they did have sets that small with 3 figures, but they only came with 2 Imperial Guards and the rest were pirates. Quote
Dreamweb Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I like the trumpet. It would be great if you want to make a MOC musical band. I've always regreted that (AFAIK) there are no Lego guitars. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 29, 2005 Governor Posted November 29, 2005 I thought of making an Imperial Marching Band once... Kinda like a mini-figure pack... Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 A guitar would be a nice addition for the band, and definately a drum. Has Lego made mini-fig instruments? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted November 29, 2005 Governor Posted November 29, 2005 I was thinking a drum was a MUST for a marching band! Quote

canadianD Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 this was my first set in 1999 ah good year i was 5 years old an unlike many 5 year olds i didn't smash all my legos ;-) i loved it so much it spured (no Wild west refernce intended :-D ) to build my very first MOC i think i called it "soldeir fort" and it basically constited of some tall grey two stud peices on the side but since i had only eight of them the other side i used a bunch of multy colored peices for the other side. the stuff holding the back and front up were BURPs i even built a little horse stall (well as best of a horse stall as a 5 year old can make). when i was all finished i showed it to my mom an she said it was great. well heres the life lession i learned that day never ask your mom what she thinks of a lego creation when your 5 because the next day i brought it to my preschool fro show an tell and everybody laughed at me which made me cry :'-( (i told you i was 5) and the teacher made everyone apologize :-) so thats my experience relating to frontier patrol. its a wonder i still remember this 7 years later. Tanotrooper Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Ah, my first Western set I got. I remember well... I went to the beach when I was little, and I bought this set. A song reminds of that day too... I was only 5 years old I think, and I loved the idea of using that horse saddle as a pillow. I used one of them as Zorro and the others as soldiers... good times... Brickstarrunner Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 $6.99 USD for the original price? Dang, I had to pay $20.00 for mine at Brickworld '09. It looks nice and all, but still, $20.00! I think they take advantage of us at Cons Quote
Sir Fred Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 This is the first set I can remember getting. Recently picked up a copy of it MISB, probably going to leave it sealed, so many memories of my childhood in that little box. Quote
