Joey Lock Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 This is a image from the new Lego Battles game: Whatta you think? Is it possible? They will proberbly be called Wildmen and mabye be the new Forestmen. Quote
mikey Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 (edited) thats excellent! I hope so to, the woad on the face would be perfect for the warriors of Gaul as well... But i'm not so sure this will be reality though. Edited June 2, 2009 by mikey Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 As I look for any good occassion to don my Davidson Clan tartan kilt. I can honestly say the only thing that I would like more than getting new Bluecoats from Lego is getting Scotsmen from them. Thanks...Now I won't be able to sleep tonight! Quote
Wily Manc Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 That would be fantastic - it's a set of characters which Lego haven't used before, and would add some real diversity to the mediaeval Lego world. Quote
Holy Diver Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 It would be nice to have them as the faction opposing the rumored elves. Quote
Spyder Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 With the shield and face, they could probably make a barbarian with a different torso and legs for the Roman theme to fight. Note: the roman theme is not real, but you can read about ideas for it here: Link 1, and Link 2 Quote
Adam Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 You guys think every graphic is a sign for a new theme, don't you?! I'm guessing if you saw an image of a computer generated Galidor you'd think that was coming back too? Not every bit of LEGO related news or imagery is a sign of a new theme! Quote

Lt. Col. Thok Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 I certainly hope so! However, in all likeliness it is a remote possibility....but maybe if we get elves.... Nevermind, I'm hoping too much. Quote

I'm guessing if you saw an image of a computer generated Galidor you'd think that was coming back too? Not every bit of LEGO related news or imagery is a sign of a new theme! I don't think that everybody thinks it will be a new theme, but maybe that a lot of people would like to see it as a new theme. Being Scottish myself I would love to see something like this but... how would they do the kilt? Dr. Brick Quote
SlyOwl Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM! I'd be interested in a kilt - I envision it similar to the Asaji Ventress skirt, but with a tartan pattern. The shield looks too big to be the skellie/dwarf one, but doesn't have the hole in the middle of the Viking shields - more similar in size to the Brickforge round shield. Here's hoping You guys think every graphic is a sign for a new theme, don't you?! I'm guessing if you saw an image of a computer generated Galidor you'd think that was coming back too? Not every bit of LEGO related news or imagery is a sign of a new theme! Everything is a sign of the return of anything here on EB Get with the times! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Thank you William "SlyOwl" Wallace for that additional inspiration...Now where did I leave that sword? Quote
the enigma that is badger Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 That does look fantastic, but like others have said, there's a stack of great character designs from LEGO games that either haven't been produced or are of lines that are unlikely to be revived. True, some have been made (particularly from the Star Wars games), but where there's game-related imagery wisps of smoke, there's not necessarily fire. Quote

I'm so with you on this one... I don't want a Scotsmen theme unless they can moon like Mel Gibson in Braveheart! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 That's a great and very interesting topic, Joey Lock! Whatta you think? Is it possible? I don't think so. The last years TLG offered only fantasy creatures as enemies for the crownies. So if the current "Castle" line will offer new sets next year, too, I bet that we'll see some new fantasy creatures (very supposably elves since a lot of you seem to wish them so much). I'm not sure whether I'd like this nevertheless possible fraciton. Of course it'll be much better than again some fantasy creatures. But to choose correctly you would need to see pics of the whole sets with the castles, the war machines, the landscape, the accessory and everything other. They will proberbly be called Wildmen and mabye be the new Forestmen. It might well be that they'll be called "Wildmen". But that they'd be some sort of new forestmen is imo totally excluded! Forestmen are something totally different in comparison to these figs. These "Wildmen" would live in Scotland - so a landscape of hills and rocks with very little foliage plants is highly supposably - but surely not something like a Sherwood Forest. Klaus-Dieter Quote

Well, it's still possible TLG changes their Castle line and release a non-fantasy faction as the Crownies' opponents. Looking back the past years, I also expected a fantasy opponent for the pirates. If we have to believe the pictures of the game are signs (wich I think is very unlikely) then it's a good possibility that they will be the opponent of the Romans. Quote
Athos Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 While I'd love some Scots, I don't think that just because it shows up in a game means we're getting one. I wonder how it would be done. Printed legs or a cloth piece...? Steve Quote
SeaKing61 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Wildmen? Sounds good, but you're missing the real clue in this picture. Look in the sky, right in the background, CLOUDS!!!! Lego must be bringing out a new 'Sky' theme, maybe with rain and wind as other factions! This is gonna be sooooo cool. Wildmen would be cool, I'd certainly collect the Castle sets if they were the crownies' enemy. I'm not a fan of the trolls or skellies and have only bought a couple of castle sets as parts packs. Natman8000 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Interesting, becaus e that was the only actual new minifig in the trailer. Maybe they could use the Asaj ventress skirt for a kilt in the theme (assuming it is made) Quote

Yes, but that was a big part of the movie, so it was a inevitable. However, you do have the makings of a point..... Quote
