smokebelch Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Got my Echo Base set today, and been taking a few shots- most up in the photo thread- but i thought id post these seperatly. Made the Rebel Laser Cannon ages ago just never got round to taking a shot of it, quite small but wanted it to be pretty acurate to minifig scale- And used the Tauntaun horns to give the Yeti a much more Wampa look- hopefully we'll have a official lego Wampa next year, but until then im kinda happy with this Quote
RoflWafls Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Man, those are terrific! I'd never think of adding the horns to a yeti. Could you post the parts you used for the laser cannon, if possible. Quote

Cheers, got the yeti ages ago and tried to make some Wampa horns then, but never really liked how they turned out. The Tauntaun ones while not perfect are a much better match. I'll up a brickshelf folder with the bits for the cannon- might not be till tomorrow though. Quote

I've used that yeti in a few of my MOC, but never tried to add horns, so it looked kinda out of place. Quote
smokebelch Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Here's a couple of shots from the brickshelf folder of the cannon- And the folder- though its not public yet... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=386348 Quote
L-space Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 That is one cool cannon. And i never thought of putting horns on my Yeti. Till now! Thanks for the idea Quote
Natman8000 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Simple, yet effective. I might need to try it out, do you mind? As usual, the photography is spot on. Quote
smokebelch Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 @natman8000- not at all, help yourself @future74- the guns are from Little Armory, got them years ago. Luckily i stocked up enough to equipt my new rebel troopers Quote
-JD- Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) Wow, I love that turret! It would have been much better than the one in the new set. It's funny how the Snowtrooper still has his helmet and backpack on. Greetings, JD Edited June 5, 2009 by Jammiedodger714 Quote
bamaker Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I'll repeat what everybody else has said, that's a great cannon! And I've seen folks use the Yeti before as a stand-in for the wampa, and it never looked right to me. Now I know why -- the horns were missing. The snowtrooper is a nice touch, too. Quote
KimT Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Super! Great MOC's added to great picture setups. A sure winner Quote
