The Cobra Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Another find in whung's brickshelf gallery: Set number is 852759. Quote
CP5670 Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 This thing looks quite handy. It would especially be useful for Technic models, where angular beam placements are common. Quote
BlueBard Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 Nice find! It would be a helpful element for any Lego builder. Actually I think all of us use some kind of "hand-made" lego measurers, don't we? Quote
ILikePi Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 (edited) Nice find! It's great to see that LEGO is releasing a ruler for their products. By the way, did anyone else see this in whung's BS gallery?: Looks like a chrome gold plain minifig keychain. Edited June 14, 2009 by ILikePi Quote
Buttons Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 You know, Ricecracker is not going to be best pleased now. He really should have patented his idea. Quote
Ricecracker Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 You know, Ricecracker is not going to be best pleased now.He really should have patented his idea. Yeah, well I hope it works better for them then it did for me. I'll probably get one of these. Quote
Skelotic Posted June 14, 2009 Posted June 14, 2009 He also has this which I have no idea what it is: Quote
Oky Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 He also has this which I have no idea what it is: What the heck is that? The pole seems to be made out of about 50 of these. Kinda look like one of those things that cats scratch on. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Oh god, don't let Svelty buy that. He'll make a review saying it's my head on there. I can see it now, "It seems Erdy has sold himself to LEGO to be used a a scratching post, what has happened to his brain?...." Quote
xenologer Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 He also has this which I have no idea what it is: Paper Towel Dispsenser Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Paper Towel Dispsenser Hahahaha. Good heavens, what will they think of next? And I thought my salt and pepper shakers and bottle openers were absurd! Quote
Davey Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Paper Towel Dispsenser Sweet. I am so all over that. More LEGO in the kitchen is never a bad thing. -Dave ToT-LUG Quote
BlueBard Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Hahahaha. Good heavens, what will they think of next? And I thought my salt and pepper shakers and bottle openers were absurd! Never underestimate the absurdity potential of merchandising... Quote
JimBee Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Paper Towel Dispsenser What?? How would it dispense towels? Anyway, I suppose that measuring tool could be useful. I usually just count the studs or guess the length, but I'd use it if it was right next to me while building. And there's even a cookie cutter. Svelte must be in heaven. Quote
Skinny Boy Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 What?? How would it dispense towels? He means it holds a roll of paper towels. Anywho, nah. I've learnt that 3 really is the magic number when it comes to Lego. I won't be needing this. Quote
Yeow Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 By the way, did anyone else see this in whung's BS gallery?:Looks like a chrome gold plain minifig keychain. This is being given out at Lego Stores (or at least mine) in July with a purchase of $75 or more. It was in their monthly flyer. Quote
posades Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Paper Towel Dispsenser Oh I thought it was a toothpick holder. Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Oh yesyesyesyesyesyesyes! It's about time. Quote
Dadster Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Thanks for the write-up. I was wondering about that tool in another thread... And, thanks for the heads-up about the July Promo! Quote
Oky Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 And there's even a cookie cutter. Svelte must be in heaven. I think that's actually one of those sand forms. Nice idea actually. I'd love to make a sand minifig while at the beach and make some sand accessories for it! Sand Indy or Luke Skywalker anyone? He means it holds a roll of paper towels. Ah, that makes sense. I wont be needing one of those, though. However, I could use it as TP dispenser! And yes, my Lego store will be giving out those gold minifig keychains as well. However, since you can't get them with any other discount, I wont be getting any, since paying $75 on lego at MSRP isn't worth it to me. Besides, I still find it strange that it comes with fleshie hands! Quote
hewkii9 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Paper Towel Dispsenser Darn, I was hoping that it was a tetherball pole. As to the Lego measurer, I'll be sure to pick one of those up, they look very handy! Quote
