Sir Wellington Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Cannon, other 4d Hello, as some of you may have seen, I have a thread called "French Artillary" showing a custom cannon. Well i'm taking on a new challenge to make lego Rocket Artillary for those Napoleonic War Fans (Bonaparte ;) I am looking for a picture of Napoleonic Rocket Artilary. So far all i've found is blurry pictures from Empire Total War and battle scenes with no good picture whatsoever. So if someone can find me a picture of rocket artillary during the era that would be amazing. Thank You, Kinzcove Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Here is what I could find. Hope it helps. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) And my finds: I never knew those rockets were also stationed on small boats. Hope this might help as well! Edited June 23, 2009 by Cap'n Blackmoor Quote
Ratshot Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 (edited) Here's a couple of shots/drawings/paintings. It may be from a video game but it is still artillery. I know its tiny but it is still visible. Edited June 23, 2009 by Broadside Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Nope, but it can be. On the PC it looks different, more detailed and better graphics. It looks more like Imperial Glory. Also an amazing game. Quote

Sir Wellington Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 Hello everybody, I recently finished a project I was planning for a while. Here is some Napoleonic Rocket Artillery, accompanied by a Rocket Artilleryman using a torso provided by the Pirate Torso Library. Quote
Admiral M Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 (edited) Lookin' good, Sir Wellington! That rocket is quite realistic looking, I love the way you made it. It really is something I would expect to see on an 18th century battlefield! What was your reference? Edited July 12, 2009 by Admiral M Quote
Sir Wellington Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 This was my reference: http://img140.imageshack.us/i/rocketswq4.jpg/ Quote

Governor Mister Phes Posted July 20, 2009 Governor Posted July 20, 2009 Since this thread wasn't really going anywhere I have merged it with it's counterpart thread in the main Pirate Forum. May this blessid union kick things off! Quote
Paul cantu Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Your design is fantastic. It is really cool that they had rocket artillery back then. I think I might put some rocket artillery on my next ship. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Your design is quite realistic sir Wellington! I love these threads learning us about the history of the 16th - 19th century, i find it quite fascinating. We should have more of these! Quote
