The theme is about these two wizards. Scallow is an evil Necromancer, and Charon is a good \"Banisher,\" or someone who sends resurrected dead back to the world of the dead, to rest in peace and not be used as servants of Necromancers. Scallow, it seems, is a very competent Necromancer, able to summon and control mass armies of the dead, instead of only one or two, at a time. However, despite Scallow\'s skill, he needs some outside help to hold an army of the size he commands.

So, the Necromancer does what nobody has ever done before; he tries to gain aid from one of the Greater Dead, the most powerful beings in the world of the dead. He ends up forming a pact with Xethrinn the All-Powerful, King of the Dead, who, unable to come himself, being too large in power to be summoned by any necromancer, sends to the world of the living his envoys, the demon Wraithra, who are essentially tendrils of Xethrinn\'s essence which he can control. With the Wraithra in his army, Scallow\'s force of darkness seems invincible.

However, Charon, the good wizard, sees of Scallow\'s strength and power-hungriness, and immediately lunges into action. He makes the sentient races of the living (humans, dwarves, elves) see this problem, and together, all of the living world creates a gigantic alliance, which is led by Charon, due to his expertise in banishing the dead. Charon, as his first act as leader, commissions the building of may war machines, specially designed to be able to permanently re-kill even a Wraithra for good. He also assembles a squad of highly skilled engineers, military experts, warriors, and even the unexpected magical prodigy, to aid him.

So begins a great war between life and death...

And here\'s a gallery of the line\'s figures; Here. The last three sets to be added soon!

(Just to clear up any possibility for future confusion, this is NOT an official LEGO line. These are my MOCs, which have been built as if they were a LEGO theme.)

Love the color scheme. MEh on the fleshies though.

Those look they could actually be Lego sets.

Very good job!

Thanks... I did fleshies, because these MOCs are actually based on a book idea that I had, and I found that my selection of fleshie faces suited the characters better. :classic:

And, thanks so much, that's the whole point!

Wow, that's epic. I believe these are front page worthy. Even though it has fleshies, the play features more than make up for it.

Gosh, thank you! Front page? That would be, like, a dream come true (and I don't mean to sound corny )!

And, as far as play features go, did you see the videos of the machines in action?

Yeah, that's part of what made me like your mocs so much. Mind if I borrow those techniques for some of my mocs?

You mean like the firing systems?

Yeah, sure, just be sure to give me creds. Also, you may want to wait, because I'm going to post specific instructions for some more things later on. :classic:

Oh, this is very nice and elaborate.

Color scheme is very nice, and it looks great on minifigs (which are excellent, by the way), but in the sets it is not very dominant. Few sand greenm and the rest is usual gray stuff.

About sets, well, they are very nice, but I can't help myself think that they are not that much different from official Castle sets from Fantasy Era. There are some really nice details, especially minifigs, but in general, in my opinion, it is to similar to modern Castle sets. Small and big siege engines, castle walls, and other.

Nevertheless, these are great builds, but I just think they are not good enough to be watched as new LEGO theme.

Portal logo is fantastic, but I must say, you are not permitted to use LEGO logo in your creations, so it really should be removed. You can read about this on LEGO web site: http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=fairplay

I agree that these are similar to Fantasy Era sets, but I think many of these actually outdo them. I love the color scheme and the fact that they look like authentic sets.

Most of all I appreciate the effort you've taken to create a whole theme with all of it's sets. Most of us just plan on doing that, but you've went and done it!

I love the Celtic logo as well, and you've named all your minifigs, too! There's just one big con I have to note: where the heck are all the women? A red-headed female archer and a shamaness would suit this theme extremely well, don't you think?

You've done a fantastic job, anyway! :thumb-up:

Oh please, that's just legal mumbo-jumbo. He's not going to get sued for just using a damn logo in his MOCs. If he were to begin selling them as official LEGO products, then there would be a case. So just relax, okay?

Maybe some delicious dark brown and reddish browns would add a like pop and break up the bley.

Well, aren't all of the Castle lines/themes made of small and big siege enginers, castle walls and other? I think he did a good job by sticking to what Lego produces. I'd like to see a 99.99$ castle.

Nevertheless, these are great builds, but I just think they are not good enough to be watched as new LEGO theme.

I disagree. I think the builds show great imagination and have lots of functionality. Sure they're not perfect, but with some tweaking they would (and I think do) look like official Lego sets.

Great stuff. But I have a question, what does fleshie mean? I assume some sort of part, but what kind?

Well, Sand Green is more of an "accent" color with the good guys, as is gold. The bleys and brown are more dominant. Too much sand green looked almost futuristic when I tried it, considering a lot of my MOCs don't look typically "medieval."

Of course. All LEGO Castle sets have been like that, pretty much, throughout every one of the theme's phases. Mine, however, focuses chiefly on the siege engines.

And, I think it's a no-brainer that these could never be real sets. I mean;

-I'm not a professional builder

-There are no new parts/recolors

-My minifig count-per-set is probably too high to be realistic

I never said that my creations were equal to that of LEGO. I just said that I've always wanted to be a LEGO set designer, so I took my best shot at it with what I had.

And, I didn't know that about my logo, so it's been removed until I make a version without the LEGO logo.

As for the women: I know, I know! I'll try to fix that ASAP.

Check the front page, there is an actual opening at LEGO.

nah, I'll link it for you.

Unfortunately, that position is for a graphic designer, like, someone to make decals and stuff. I wanna work on building the sets. Thanks for the link, though!

Like I said earlier, I can only work with what I have. My supply of those colors is, unfortunately, very small, next to nothing.

And, for that castle, you're in luck! I do actually have one built, it's just waiting to be photographed!

Wow. You really think that?

Great stuff. But I have a question, what does fleshie mean? I assume some sort of part, but what kind?

"Fleshies" are minifigures with flesh-colored, not yellow skin.

Thanks all for your comments!

Ok, relaxed. :) I just thought it would be fair toward TLG, or maybe he doesn't know it. But if he wants to be LEGO designer, and once decide to send them those photos, they would be much happier if they don't see breaking of their rules.

True, good point. But there are definetelly large differences between Clasic Castle desing and Fantasy era design. This is very similar, actually maybe too similar to Fantasy era. Ok, maybe I ask for too much, but with all the imaginations and story he developed, and the effort he made I hoped to see more originality.

But, ok, I don't say it's no good. It's really great. It is in the spirit of modern LEGO design, and that was his goal.

If I send these to LEGO, I will take the logo off. So, for now, I'll put it back up. :)

Well, I'm always open for ideas. Having read the story in my 1st post, what sets would you like to see, that have more "originality?" I'd be very happy for more set ideas, after all.

And yeah, you got my goal right on the nose; since I was trying to make plausible modern sets, I looked to already-existent ones for inspiration in that field.

Legos not fair to us, We are not fair to Lego.

I mean, We ask Lego: "Can you make this?", Lego: "Nein" (There not german but it sounds cool). So we decide to create our own sets and they say, "Oh, No no nooo, You can't do that...". But isn't that the whole point of "Play Well".

I don't think I would be too excited about a line that is focused so heavily on siege engines, but your designs are very nice. My favourite of the series so far is Last Stand at The Gauntlet, but I also like Barricade Defense.

Great Color choose! You will become great Lego disigner!

I would buy all of them, even they don't have any new pieces. They just looks great, and so profesional! (Even better than some original sets  )

Well, as I said, siege weapons are a love of mine, and designing all the different launchers was so much fun... the line focusing on such weapons was only natural.

And, just wait 'till you see pictures of Forge Raid and Tower Siege, the two biggest sets (both forts), both to be photographed soon!
