jansued Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Hello! Sorry I'm somehow out of time to make a better one, but I just wanted t take part in the contest. And I'm not the photoshop specialist as you can see... Following the experiences and consequenses of the boarding of a modified YT 2000 Freighter on the first Death Star, on every Imperial vessel a special team for boarding operations was trained and equipped. The Boarding Team consists of an Engineer and 3 Special Weapons Storm Troopers. To avoid any traps inside enemy ships, the stromtroopers are equipped with a antisensor coating. The standard vehicle for these teams is a armored landspeeder which is also capable to travel small distances through space in case enemy ships are to big for the hangars. Best Regards, JanSued Quote
The Rancor Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (edited) As much as I would like to have 3 chrome troopers in a battlepack, this would probably cost Edited September 6, 2009 by The Rancor Quote
prateek Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I need that BP in my life! Great job. Chromies Quote
Commander Flash Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Chrome showoff I like it. The guns and pauldron look great on them, and the set itself is good. Quote
Fumoffu Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Nice BP. Good explanation for the use of the Chrome Stormtroopers. I suspect if this is a real set then TLC will replace the Chrome with standard Stormtroopers. Even then it will still be a good set because you can really build up a Stormtrooper army ... for those who missed out on the Dropship. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 This is a very well made battlepack. It contains a nice looking vehicle and you have figured out what the chrome suit is for. Good luck in the contest! Quote
Rocky Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Nice entry. The figures in this set are great. The custom at-st pilot looks very good and the chrome stormtroopers really stand out. I think a battle pack with three chrome stormtroopers would be a bit more pricey than other ones. The set included in this battle pack is a bit bulky. Even so the folding platform more than makes up for it. The back motors made out of binoculars are also a nice touch. Good job Quote
JCC1004 Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Nice little battle pack. Thes would sell very well if they were released. Nice moc up box BTW. Right a 70 pieces I see. How will I ever vote! Quote
UsernameMDM Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Shiny. I like how the vehicles looks like the old WWII amphibious landing craft. Quote
jansued Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 Nice little battle pack. Thes would sell very well if they were released. Nice moc up box BTW. Right a 70 pieces I see. How will I ever vote! Actually, I had to rip of the mounted E-Web to stay with the 70 parts... Best Regards, JanSued Quote
Darth Lion Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Hehe, nice battle pack. Unfortunately this battle pack is very improbable... Very nice use of the brickarms products. Quote
fenris Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 nice story why there are chromies included unrealistic, but still a great battleback. but even with normals stormies it would be a "msut buy" for me, not only because of the minifigs but also because of the perfect desingn of the "siege engine"!. very well done! Quote
RileyC Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 I dont know if the chromies suit the battle pack very much. Sure they are a great minifig but I think they only look good my themselves. THe ship looks reasonably sound and its cool that you added a retractable boarding ramp in there good play feature Good luck Quote
pedro Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Good work jansued! I like your boarding craft - very original - it has a heavy, no-nonsense kind of look to it. I really like the concept of Stormtrooper squad wearing laser-reflective armour for boarding operations; they also remind me of the Glitter Boys from Rifts RPG a wee bit Good luck in the contest! KimT Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Rules Of Entry: 4 Minifigs - brickbuilt minifigs counts a minifig (no more, no less). 50-70 Parts (minifigs not included). Custom minifigs and accessories allowed (Brickforge, Brickarms and so forth). No clone brand parts (megablocks, blocko and so forth). No baseplates (or large parts like BURP). S@H-like Description (check the descriptions on shop.lego.com for inspiration). Own motivation for creating set (why these figs and accessories?). Max 5 pictures from different angles - One of which should be a box diplay/image. Please include a link to off-site folder with more pics or higher resolution pictures (optional). Max picture resolution is 800x600. No large parts - it's a Battle Pack and should resemble existing BP's in size and contents. Only one entry per member. 'Real' entries only - no digital entries. Entry has to be a new MOC. Though I find it somewhat hard to believe we'll ever see a Chrome Stormie BP, then this would surely be a must buy. You still need a motivation and clear S@H description. Klaus-Dieter Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 (edited) That's an awesome entry, jansued! I really it! If you included regular Stormtroopers (and not silvern Stormtroopers which in the movies do not exist) it would be a perfect BP! Very, very well done!
