September 30, 200915 yr One photo, right? Looking at your beautiful MOC I (and I expect a lot of other members as well) demand more than that one photo. I can hardly see what awesome details you put in it I`ve always wanted to build train station Wow, you started really high-level. Congrats!
September 30, 200915 yr What's "just a train station" is truly fantastic. This is a very nice entry Kris. I love the colors and the use of all the tiles. From what I've seen, LUGPol members are very talented builders. Please share that with some of the other members of your group. This deserves it's own blog. I've tried to stay away from blogging any one creation on Classic Town, but some of these entries (and there's been so many that I haven't recognized/singled out) are just so impressive. Great job and you're more than welcome to share more images on this post. Voting will be based on your first image only. Thanks for participating in the contest.
September 30, 200915 yr Dear lord, now that is a serious train station! Everything is so brilliant in every way. From the smooth tiling to the clever roof right to the minifig poses, that is just an incredible MOC! All the proportions are just right - it looks so real! I'm going straight to your Flickr to try and find closer shots of the lamps! This is an incredible MOC, thank ye a pile for sharing this mate! Grand job. EDIT: Only 4 pictures in the Flickr set? I was hoping for 50+ photos here!
September 30, 200915 yr Incredible details. The fully finished track, lying a bit deeper so the train attaches on the right height. The windows, the womans dress. I agree, we need more photo's. But maybe we can also wait till the brickshelf folder is released. Great job
September 30, 200915 yr Now THAT is one beautiful entry! The building's texture is fantastic, and all of the details around the track area are superb as well. Excellent work, and best of luck to you.
October 1, 200915 yr Author Thank`s guys for this very nice feedback I have to thank to I Scream Clone for some inspiration to build my station. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28773832@N08/...674035/sizes/o/ And also for carl: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/carl/Tra...ccdetails01.jpg When I saw this beautiful stations I`ve decided to build my station :)
October 1, 200915 yr Yes - that one from Carl is beautiful, as well as well as ISC's. I love the colors used for both stations. Yours is equally nice though.
October 1, 200915 yr Wow Kris, I really love this station! The detailing is amazing, especially the bridge, which I had thought of having a crack at myself, however mine is based off a cross between Maithwaite Station of Thomas the Tank Engine and a US train station, for my son LOL. Yours has a beautiful design to the track work as well as the platform signage and roofing. Man I thought I had a few tiles, though not compared to you Thank`s guys for this very nice feedback I have to thank to I Scream Clone for some inspiration to build my station. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28773832@N08/...674035/sizes/o/ And also for carl: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/carl/Tra...ccdetails01.jpg When I saw this beautiful stations I`ve decided to build my station :)
October 1, 200915 yr Very nice work, it has a great cartoon feel. Not a big fan of the colour scheme in the photo but I'm sure it looks better in real life. Much to like, too much to discuss. On the negative side, the railings are a bit weak compared to the rest of the model. The number of stairs was also a bit dangerous, needs a flat section like on the station side. It lacked any real cover for passengers. The lamp post were fantastic but were positioned over the rail not the platforms. All these things made it toy land despite the very clever build techniques. Still overall, a brilliant MOC well done. <Jealous>
October 1, 200915 yr Amazing work Kris! I the color scheme as it gives it a very old world urban feel. Dark red is delicious! And the lamps that hang over the track are fantastic. Great design work and I love the fact that they are even a little oversized. They just look great. I know the judges are going to have a really hard time selecting winners for this contest with all the amazing creations that have been posted. Great work! -Dave
