Legoliner Pilot Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 he new city corner has a 7-Eleven Convenience store, Lego Retail store, and a re designed bus stop. You get two shop keepers, father and son, and a policewoman buying her morning mug of coffee. The shop design was inspired by Klaus-Dieter's Lego Store. Notice the pigeons on top. Inside the Lego Retail store, we have a check out counter, Pick a brick wall with cups and lids, city sets [only!] for sale on the second floor, and the inventory in the third floor [the attic]. In the 7-Eleven convenience store we have fresh fruit hanging on a wall, slushy machine with cups and two flavors [blueberry and cherry], and a checkout desk with a coffee maker, croissant stove, and cash register. The bus stop is nothing special, just a bench (recolor of the bench from the City Minifigure collection) under a shade awning with a big, leafy plant. --- How much does it cost, you ask? It weighs in at about $105.00 USD! Quote
prateek Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 That's actually really good! It is a more realistic version of City Corner. I like the busstop the best Quote
Legoliner Pilot Posted October 10, 2009 Author Posted October 10, 2009 That's actually really good! It is a more realistic version of City Corner. I like the busstop the best I just realized that I forgot to include a vehicle! I will probably include two taxis, but I'm blank. Any ideas? Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 (edited) That's an awesome City MOC, Legoliner! I really it! It looks absolutely realistic and could very well be an official set (then I immediately would buy it)! Although you could have included one more kid or one more woman instead of one of the male minifigures I really like the minifigure selection. The interior of the two buildings is excellent! (Great idea for the PaB walls!) Only one idea for improvement: The sign on the roof of the cafe would look better if it was bigger. For the stand-alone bus station I'd propose to either include a bus in a non-yellow color (I think white and perhaps even black would be possible with LDD) - or do not include the bus station but a small taxi stand and a taxi (two taxis would never be included in one and the same set - even not in an Exclusive). Otherwise it's great! city sets [only!] for sale on the second floor How much does it cost, you ask? It weighs in at about $105.00 USD! LDD is alway totally overpriced since these are individual products and no products which can be sold to a large audience. If TLG released a set like this for regular sale they'd change one or other thing (but surely not very much since it still is nearly perfect)and in the end it surely wouldn't be more than 70 Euors. Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter Edited October 10, 2009 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
