Captain'Spaulding Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 For some weeks Capt' n given up a bit its bricks to recover in Magic (since I succeeded that to pervert a friend) And therefore in the course of the leaving me me to enter says that it it definitely to create tidying up for all her cards...(blow I perverted the same buddy in Lego it's more cool to build between buddies!!!) here is therefore my Deck-box: (limp to line up his game Magic) As you be able to see under photos I play a ZOMBIE game!!! Therefore it was logical that box is not ....... Pink with smalls flowers (I'm not play blue . Those who play Magic shall understand me!) And now !!! photos !!! It's a quick building without SNOT this time, I quickly post before photos because a tempète is envisaged in my MOCs! And then I need one to play... As long as has be there! Therefore building of one to line up my library (: my game of card in Magic language ) therefore to dig over cards and other one to discard (: the graveyard...) and just below one left who accepts up to 8 dices in 6 faces to be able to count his points of life (whit 4 dices it is suffissant but not they never knows...) for those who know nothing about this game I add a " multicoloured star " to represents the symbol of the 5 colours of fates which are played in Magic (red, blue, green, white and black!) Picts close: And open but empty (vide) Open whit my cards and dices: - " I play a swamp... Mmmmhhh... One black, Dark ritual, I play Rotting Gobelin, Créophage and Putrid Imp... It's your turn That I like it this sentence!!! That's all for the moment, I hope you like thoses 2. And if you don't like... Post an answer! And if you like it too! Well... comment are welcomes! Capt'n Spaulding! Quote
Skipper 24 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Wow nice. I don't play any trading card games but I suppose these cases could be used for any cards. The dice slots were a great idea . Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Hahah, this MOC made my day! I play Magic too- I preffer using SLIVERS, and I think I should build deckholder too. Great idea, magnificent and usefull MOCes! Quote
Big Cam Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 That's awesome. man does that bring me back. I was big into Magic back in the early 90's when I was a pre-teen kid. I sold my colection on ebay about 8 years ago for $1,500. I almost miss them. Your LEGO creation is perfect for the magic cards Quote

Not many dual lands, mox's and chase-rares in that collection Great deck MOCs. I like the first one the best. My favorite deck was red/blue/white/green deck with summoning abilities plus a very agressive artifact deck that kicked butts Wow, this really brings me back to 1993 when I started playing MTG. Quote

Nope, I had sold all my revised beauties years before that. This was more of a leftovers collection. All the junk was in my clloset for years so I decided to get rid of it. I ahd lots of completed sets, but none of the really expensive ones. I was only 4 cards away from a complete Arabian Knights set. Also at one point in my Magic Career I had all the Moxes except the pearl. I traded them years ago. Sorry to steer off topic for a bit. If I would have been thinking back when I was into Magic a mear year or two after my dark ages of LEGO started, I would have made something similar. Quote

Not a problem for me! I'm happy to see that some of you play MTG too, I start playing 2 years ago, and I will not sell my cards; never never never!!! like my Lego! My précious(sssss) Thanks every one! It's always a great plesure to read your post, thanks! Ps: don't sell your Magic cards... Just gives them to me! Quote
Milan Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Very creative use of brick! And very nice build, man. I like how you did this! Quote
74louloute Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Sweet Moc ! I agree that the first one really fit the zombie theme ! One more good Moc from you Capt'ain Quote
zouave Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Nice cases, good idea. I play MTG too. I recently bought about 200$ USD worth of em' for 60$. It had a lot of rares and a few mythic rares in the lot. BTW, aern't slivers illegal in tournaments now? Quote
BlueBard Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Nice ideas and designs and wonderfully achieved Quote
Davey Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Great design work and a really neat idea I had never thought of. My wife and I both play a few different TCG's and this would be a great way to combine LEGO with TCG's. I really like the functionality of the card box and how the dice fit in there. Really nice work! -Dave Quote
JeffD984 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Very original! I like the idea, but I'm not quite sure I would travel around with those as an accident could send brick and card flying! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Very clever. I think these work very well for your playing cards. Although posted last week, I think this might be deserving of a front-page. Nice! Quote
Zorro Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I love how you made these card-holders! I know the game (played it a few times a long time ago), but didn't know they would fit in this well. Quote
phillip10 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Thats a great idea, I used to collect some cards but I dont now! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 That's a really nice box and deck holder Cap'n, I got into Magic during revised and then had a long dark ages returning around Mercadian Masques onwards to Time Spiral. I remember your Undead Warchief card fondly too, having a Zombie deck of my own. Ah the memories of Pre releases an Tournaments. I actually sold off my collection to get back into Lego a couple of years ago, but still play occasionally with my mates. Great Work, and thanks for the reminiscing! Quote

It had a lot of rares and a few mythic rares in the lot. BTW, aern't slivers illegal in tournaments now? Depends on the tournament and, of course, if you're even playing in one. I really do like the swamp box: It's got a perfect mix of stark function and decorative bits. The black one's also very cool, but like Jeffd984, I'd be a little paranoid about using it.... Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Perhaps this can be used in poker too...hmmzz Very original idea and well executed! Quote
