DNL Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 After the king of the forest's secret hideout was discovered by the king's scouts (see my secret hideout entry for last year's CCC), the fortress was attacked and the outlaws inprisoned in a nearby castle. Now the rest of the outlaws try to free their king with the help of a spy among the castle's guards and a barrel of good wine... Pictures on flickr (For some reason i can't upload anything to brickshelf right now, so there's no brickshelf page yet) Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Magnificent building with tons of detail! I really like it and could look at this for hours I like how you made even the inside of the walls, and all the water with trans-blue. The shapes in the walls (I mean the cross-shapes up high where the archers can shoot through) are also very inventive. I don't see any things that could be improved, in my eyes it's a perfect MOC, good job! Quote
Sir Dillon Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Very well done! I like the cutaway style, and the way you used it to build in such a large scale. I think my favourite detail is actually the wooden roof supports, but the whole thing is full of neat features. Quote
badboytje88 Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I saw this on flickr just a moment ago and I must say I love the details in this moc. The lillies on the water are lovely! Quote
Rick Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Nice, I really like the attention to the details on (the cross-sections of) the floor, roof, and wall constructions. Quote
Milan Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Wow!!! Oh, my! I love those big creations! Awesome, details, size, color, shape...just awesome! Quote
Quarryman Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Already told you this on the Brikkelauget forum, but damn, that vaulted ceiling is brilliant And I agree with Sir Dillon about the wooden supports, they're great too It could perhaps have been less square, but I'm not at all sure whether that would have been better or not. Your usual quality for sure, good luck in CCCVII Quote
Big Cam Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Your work is simply stunning!!! I remeber your last castle, this one is just as amazing, itk's so tall, and the drawbridge mechanism is spectacular. I'm sure it's obvious and I'm just missing it but what's with the single studs in different colors up and doen the castle?? Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Outstanding again DNL! I'm in awe of your building speed! Very nice building, the 1x1 round plates in the walls are excellent. Quote
Zorro Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 Amazing MOC, I love how you can actually 'read' the story in the MOC. Quote
Legostein Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Hello! You've built this with much love for detail as you can clearly see. I can only guess how much time you spent realizing this. There are many clever and unusual building tricks to discover like the wooden frame of the roof. My favourite detail is the clever way to embed the cross relief into the merlons. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
