KimT Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I will hopefully be able to help manage the Bionicle area again like in 2009. Awesome. I hope to see you there. I am working on a diorama for Byggepladen's Fan Zone. It's going to be great, though I have some trouble acquiring enough minifigs for it. Me and CopMike I hope will try to come down to Copenhagen for that.Hope to see you there as well! Make sure you order tickets. Unless you can spring some kind of deal with someone. (not me though ) Quote
Christian Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I'll be there for sure. I hope to see some of you there. Im thinking about ordering tickets for Saturday. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 It is definitely in my agenda with a big question mark now, I'd really love to come. Quote
The Who Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 I don't plan on coming to any events, but I was wondering, is Copenhagen actually a place? Country, City, Continent, Town...? Last time I checked, you could buy cans of Copenhagen at gas stations. (Dip) Quote
Front Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Copenhagen is the capitol of Denmark. And we are not talking about the village Denmark placed in South Carolina (which I noticed a village was actually named, when I was in SC in 1996). Quote

Front Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 Heard of COP15? Is that some kind of Dip ? ... btw. I plan on attending Saturday and Sunday, as that are the days that no-one else wanna come, and it wont interfere with my work in Billund, where I usually am busy. But I can't say for sure that I'll be able to come as an employee. Anyway, if I come to Copenhagen, we should get together for an after-event beer. Quote

Henning M. Posted December 30, 2009 Author Posted December 30, 2009 (edited) Hi Can all attending agree on a small gettogether saturday afternoon?? A bit of a teaser, the exhibitors list is now out and we can tell that the FAN area will include a large town /city layout, several solo layouts including a bit of a masterpiece that also was shown at Skærbæk = The 4 seasons. And also a moonbase layout, themed as the Red Planet. Hope to see you there. I have a small hand in the town/city and the Red Planet. Best regards Henning M. Edited December 30, 2009 by Henning M. Front Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 (edited) I'll be there all day on saturday and sunday. I'll probably be managing the Bionicle area like last year. I just read the newest "Byggepladen" magazine, and see that the fan area was the most visited end enjoyed of all areas in 2009. I will personally make sure to give it a go at beating you all, by jumping around dancing with big Bionicle vehicles in both hands. Like the Ambassador wrote in "Byggepladen", I too really look forward to this event. Edited January 11, 2010 by Front Quote
KimT Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Yeah me too, especially since my diorama has been accepted as one of the displayed MOCs in the fan area. Now all I have to do is add those 2000 tiles and remaining bricks... This is going to be expensive (I sure hope the wife doesn't read this ) Quote
Dennimator Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 I´ll probably come on the Saturday (I´ll book the tickets today. We don´t want a dejá vú of last year... ), together with my mom and sis. I´m in for the 'after-event beer' as well.. as long as my mom doesn´t know about it. Does anyone know how the exhibitions are? Is there any way for me to sneak in some vehicles in the CITY - area? Quote
KimT Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Does anyone know how the exhibitions are? Is there any way for me to sneak in some vehicles in the CITY - area? The Fan area is run by the Danish Byggepladen.dk and to my knowledge it's filled up. You can always bring some models and ask the staff at the Fan area. I know I'll be there and I'll be happy to assist you in getting those models in there. See you Saturday. As you might know my diorama is coming along just fine Quote

I´ll gladly accept any help I can get, as I´m not too good at speaking Danish. (I know the languages are pretty similiar, but I prefer to avoid any misunderstandings (I had a little hard time understanding you at last years Event too.. (Don´t get me wrong, I did understand you, it just.. wasn´t as easy as understanding Swedish. )). I´ll post a pic or two here of what I´d like to bring, so that I know that they are "up to the standard". Quote
Henning M. Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 Hi Denimator Just come to the Fan Zone early and we can work out something on the vehicles. I have a god size part of the trains/town layout so no wory. But it will be fine if you can post some pictures in advance. Looking forward to see you all. also ++ on the after hours beer. There are no many places close to Bella Center, but we might manage to go to Fields?? All the best Henning M. Quote

Also, how do I get in that early? Will I meet someone outside and then go in 'as usual', or do I just tell the guards (if any) that I have parts of the exhibition with me? Thanks. Quote
Henning M. Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Hi Just try to be there at 10 and go stright to the fan zone You can't miss me a "young" gentleman probably looking a bit tired after the friday evening thing. Just look out for the Henning with hair remaining on the head. Also remember to wear your namebrick. I think we all are wearing ours at the fan zone. all the best Henning M. Quote

Front Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I´m sorry, but I´m confused. What namebrick? Do I get one when I go inside? No, but many AFOL wear name tags on a brick clipped onto a shirt or whatever they are wearing. Actually some wear many hundreds of grams bricks. I will wear a name tag too, as I had one made at Klodsfest in Vejle last year. In fact I just joined Byggepladen, the Danish LUG who runs among other things the event Klodsfest. Quote
