WesternOutlaw Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 A few additional minifigs to populate my Mexican Village: Quote
Tom Bricks Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I think there's a face that would look better for him with a mask Here I really hope we get some kind of Zorro figure if we get the Wild West theme back. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 I think there's a face that would look better for him with a mask Here Yes, I had considered, but did not want to open the little gift set it came with. Quote
Ras 74 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Is that our Zorroscope?? A good little set to follow with the rest of your city Brickster. Quote
Rick Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Nice minifig pack... but I can't really look past the sunglasses, they still look like sunglasses to me. Quote
Sandy Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Nice minifig pack... but I can't really look past the sunglasses, they still look like sunglasses to me. Imagination, people, imagination... I think the minifig is excellent for the part. Well thought out! Quote
Raven Brickroft Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 After reading the title of the thread, I thought it was the Tokusatsu series, Masked Rider. Zorro wears black gloves. Couldn't get past that. Quote
the Inventor Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 And what about this head Here. the Inventor Quote
Rick Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 And what about this head Here. Great find (I was browsing through the minifig heads on Bricklink earlier but I overlooked this one)! This might actually work better. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted December 14, 2009 Author Posted December 14, 2009 Imagination, people, imagination... I think the minifig is excellent for the part. Well thought out! Thanks Sandy - I appreciate that. It's all about imagination, using the pieces that you have. That last head looks a bit odd to me - are those green eyes? Quote
Zorbas Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Of course Zorro wears that face gear. The real Zorro of course! When I first saw the mexican village, I also thought of a cool scene with Zorro jumping from the balcony while soldiers are after him. It would be great to include him in it! Btw, you didn't name the set "Zorro" or a have title that includes that name. License problems? Quote
JeffD984 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 There is a show in the States called "King of the Hill" and within this show is a TV show of this Hispanic guy who is both a priest and action hero. I forget his name but he wears sunglasses and dresses in all black. His trademark slogan is "Vaya con Dios" and he says it after he beats anyone up. Needless to say, your masked rider reminds me of him! Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 These are some nice minifigs, TheBrickster. The minifigs are really nice. But: 1. the head with the the glasses on of the minifig on the horse looks too modern 2. a whole baseplate for only three minifigs, a horse, a fence and a part of a tree seems to me a bit disproportionate Sorry for these not very consitutive words - but imo you could really have done it better. CommanderFox Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 A nice simple addition, well done Brickster! This one, has a nice selection of figs, and would be a very nice cheap little set, if Lego produced these. Very nicely done! CommanderFox Quote
Batbrick Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Imagination you say...no, sorry, I'm still seeing Lego Neo from the Matrix coming to save the Mexican people from their computer lives Great and fun little setup here TheBrickster, I never get tired of that gate that ends up everywhere, and I love that tree stump pieces, my jealousy is fixated on you a lot recently. Great use of Luke's torso too. Batbrick Away! Quote
