Hello all, Batbrick here, just thought it might be cool to have a thread where people can pop in and post a few things about themselves that they haven't posted before or is not widely known, just so we can have a laugh and know some members a little more. If this thread crashes or gets filled with spam or something then no big deal, just thought it would be a neat idea to try.

Obviosuly I'll go first:

- I'm left handed in real life and as a joke all my minifigs on display are too. Unfortunately it makes exams quite annoying when I have both handcramp and smudgy letters.

- My real life name is actually Thomas, though I was going to be George. I'm happy with what I got.

- I used to be a viscous little punk when I was 5, I chased two of my cousins on separate occasions with a cricket bat and my own older sister with a pitchfork. I've since calmed down a bit.

- On that note, nothing, NOTHING riles me up more than people talking loudly, and especially from two sides of a room while I'm trying to watch a film.

- I consider myself quite a geek, not huge into sport at all except table tennis and consider myself quite knowledgeable in discussing storytelling conventions.

- I once ripped out a loose tooth and a second not-loose one came out as well attached by a small string of mouth-meat. It was gross but also cool and didn't hurt much.

- My hair used to be blond but has now turned a light brown to my dismay.

- My long term dreams are to actually gather the motivation to start driving, learn Japanese and go to Japan, get an awesome trenchcoat, start my own webcomic and go skydiving. Oh and also meet a member of that strange species called women that actually likes me.

- I'm Christian, but very appreciative of others views as long as they are reasonable and willing to be able to take a laugh at themselves.

- I live in Tasmania, Australia, and convinced that nothing remotely good comes from it except those awesome Betta Milk ads.

Okay, that's a but from me, I'd like to see some cool, funny or just plain gross or weird facts from some of you guys and girls! :classic:

Batbrick Away! (before someone chases me with a pitchfork!)

Well lets see.

My name is Nick, I graduated college in 2006 with a BA in Business Administration, and I currently work at a Medicare Contractor, we are basically an insurance company but our only client is the US government. It kind stinks, I feel underpaid, like most.

I love cars and motorcycles, adn if you've ever visited the motorcycle thread you will have seen me there.

I've been married for 2 and a half years and my wife appriciates LEGO's but basically thinks I should never buy another one since I have so many.

The furthest out of the US I have been is Playa Del Carmen Mexico (honeymoon), one of my goals is to make it to the UK and take an extended vacation there.

I am definetalty a nerd with an obsession with Star Wars but that's about it, I'm not really in to Star Trek or Battlestar Galactica or any other type of space stuff, just SW.

I got my first job when I was only 13, I worked at the State Fair in a concession stand, the owner thought I was 14 because I'm tall.

My hobbies include photography, riding motorcycles, cars, SW, electronics, LEGO's, and my dog Chewie.

I boguht a house in July so being a homeowner is a new step in my life. It's a new house but it still has a few things that needed addressing so I've been spending alot of time with the contractor who built it, getting things slowly fixed.

I feel like i'm rambling on about random stuff, so I'll cut it off there. :classic:

Interesting idea! So something cool, funny, or weird....

- have our own chickens and love it (goofy looking buggers and so funny to watch)

- have been run over by my brother's motorcycle when I was a kid

- been married to my teenage sweetheart for over 19 years

- only learned to drive around the age of 27 because I am freaked out by it

- don't like maple syrup even though I am Canadian but thankfully enjoy bacon and hockey enough to keep my citizenship

- lived in the same wee little town all my life with no desire to move on to a bigger place. As a matter of fact, I think moving to a city with all it's commotion would drive me batty......

- love Star Wars and have no idea when I was introduced to it or who was responsible. It's been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

- one embarrassing memory: sliding down a flight of stairs on my knees in all my church finery after tripping at the top while others were walking up

- a couple things I'd like to be able to do: sketch, paint, etc. (can't draw worth doodle), bicycle across the country, play hockey (love watching, not great at skating)

My name is Christie Lee, named for the Billy Joel song. I am the eldest of seven children.

I am an embarassingly huge Final Fantasy fangirl even though I have never managed to complete the games (time and ability are an issue).

I cannot read analogue clocks or dials and I have issues with rulers.

I have several odd hats that I wear on random occasions.

I am training to be a Civil Engineer.

I have cosplayed on several occasions.

My picture on my profile was taken in Kelowna when I went for my uncle's wedding.

I was a living cliche at the school ball when I lost the glasses, had a hair cut and dressed up. It wowed the year more than my friends full tux, lime green cummerbund top hat and cane.

That's enough for now

Hmm, let's see.

John. Irish. Late twenties.

The most recent line I can remember liking before my Dark Age began was Ice Planet, or maybe Pirates 2. I always loved the look of Model Team sets but they were way too expensive back then, and when my Dark Age ended, they'd been discontinued :( My favourite line as a kid was Blacktron 2.

My Dark Age ended around August/September last year ('08). I finished work at half five, Friday Night Magic didn't start until half six, I was wandering around a toy shop and saw a small Lego fireman's car for four Euro. I figured that would burn a few minutes. Cut forward to December '09, and I'm now making this post.

Currently learning Polish. That should hopefully explain the sig. Y and Z are switched around, the symbol keys between the letters and the Enter key now make śtrąńgę łęttęrś instead of symbols, and the remaining symbol keys are all randomized. I love languages. I also speak a little German, French, Irish, and Irish Sign Language. Because we moved around a lot when I was a kid, my Irish-language dialect is a mix of regional variations that probably drove more than one teacher to drink.

Currently I work in a bank, but in the new year I'll be leaving to study to teach English abroad. Ideally, w Polsce.

My primary Street Fighter character is Dan Hibiki. That should tell you absolutely everything about my gaming tastes. I consider myself a retro gamer with a particular fanaticism for Sonic the Hedgehog games.

Vegetarian. Teetotal. Non-smoker. Occasional oxygen-breather.

I have a huge Magic: the Gathering collection, but only one piece of Power Nine, a Beta Sapphire. I was determined to get a second P9 at Worlds this year, but simply could not hand over €400+ for a single card, so I settled for a Library of Alexandria. I'm a collector as well as a player, and have most sets completed.

My favourite movie of all time is Jurassic Park. My favourite band is the Manic Street Preachers. I have no favourite book, but I'm currently being blown away by the Arthur C. Clark anthology, "The Other Side of the Sky."

I watch pretty much no television. This confuses my co-workers greatly. I am, in turn, greatly confused by how they manage to watch everything that they do, yet still have lives.

I can read something from any angle, upside down, flipped, disguised, whatever, just as comfortably as if it was lined up straight in front of me. I was surprised when people said they were amazed at this, but apparently it's weird. I think my mind is naturally wired to recognize patterns quickly. That's my super power. Also, I can usually tell if someone is French or not.

I prefer cold to heat. I don't like sun holidays. Every trip to Spanish or Portugeuse holiday resorts with my family would be spent desperately searching for some culture to study, and trying to look as little like a tourist as possible.

I have a pet Budgie, Bismarck, named after the turn-of-the-19th-century Iron Chancellor of Germany who believed in union through force. There used also be a canary, whom my sister named Chirpy.

One time I microwaved raisins in a plastic bottle for two minutes and filled my house with toxic fumes that lasted about a week.

I love anything by the artist, auther, director, video game creator, graphic artist Doug Tennapel.

I am in FLL and I'm basically the big gear head in my group.

I have an obsession with the Neverhood.

41236.jpg

I have A twitch.

I like the game Katmari Damacy and it's sequels.

katamari.jpg

My favorite animal is the platypus.

I like to play Nitrome games.

I draw ALOT am many people say I'm quite good at it.

Before I die I hope I get to say at least once.

You'll never get my Scandinavian chewing gum!

My favorite cartoon is invader Zim.

And my favorite villain is Venom or Klogg.

Well, um... I'm Damian.

--I have always been bad at introductions (Could you tell? )

--Most of my friends are what we call rednecks, and I tend to speak better English than them.

--I love the U.S. Military, and International Military History from 1900 to Modern.

--Surveys and things always tell me I would make a great architect, but I actually want a job in Demolition.

--I really like learning, just not in school.

--Usually, I am better at doing things whn I am not required to.

--I love music, and primarily because I grew up around it. My taste has changed a little though.

--I can play many sports good, but I don't play on 'official' teams because I don't really like to get that far into those kinds of things.

--Aside from Lego, I collect War antiques, from both World Wars, Vietnam and Korean eras.

--Many people tell me I'm shy and don't talk much, which apparently is why I express myself by typing things, like this.

--And I live in South Carolina.

I might post something else if I can think of any.

One time I microwaved raisins in a plastic bottle for two minutes and filled my house with toxic fumes that lasted about a week.

One time I microwaved some taco-sauce packets leftover from Del Taco. Turns out you're not supposed to. I saw a couple of lightning-like electrical flashes, and I was afraid to open the microwave; I thought I may have just made my taco sauce radio-active and was afraid to even touch it to get it out of the 'wave.

Anyway...

- I too have an obsession with a movie; The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

1-1-1.jpg

- I've collected LEGO almost my whole life, ever since I got my first set, 6471 4WD Police Patrol.

- I almost once turned two packets of taco sauce into the Green Lantern.

- I am Christian.

- I'll never eat Subway again after I ate a bad sandwich and blew chunks into a bukkit, trash can, and sink, a couple of times for each, I think. :look:

- I'm working on a somewhat secret project with computerbug right now.

- I actually liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

- I have but one pair of jeans that does not have a hole in the knees.

- I do not like playing sports, but I do enjoy going over to the High School across the street to watch the basketball games.

- And my dream car is a modern Mercedes-Benz ML-320. So I can finally have somethign fancy that not as many other people have! Muahaha!

*ahem*

- I am not ... the minimum age you are supposed to be to join here, but hey, neither is Jimbee, or Inky, or lots of others.

Ad I'll edit with more odd things later, probably.

'Nuff said.

My name is Nick

Same.

So that starts me off...

Yep, my name is Nick, and I live in Wisconsin. No, I am not a hick, or a cheesehead, or anything else people call Wisconsinites. And yes, people do live in Wisconsin, so don't listen to Phred.

I'm not really into sports, never have been, but I love sports cars, my favorite being any kind of Corvette. I hope to own a Z06 someday.

I'm a freshman in high school, and want to go to college to study to become an engineer... I don't know what kind yet, but architectural sounds like something I'd like.

I just changed my age on EB a few months ago. I lied about it when I first joined because I was nervous about what people would think of a thirteen-year-old (my age when I joined) on an 18+ website. But I have since realized that there are many people my age here, like Erds or Inconspicuous.

That's all I can think of right now, I'll post more later.

-My real name is Christopher.

-I (unfortunately) live in Florida. The weather here is AWFUL, don't listen to the commercials the government puts out trying to get you to move here. Eleven months out of the year it's too warm for me to be comfortable.

-That's probably because of my undiagnosed brain condition, something like low-level Aspberger's Syndrome. Basically it causes me to dislike heat above eighty-five degrees (I wash my hands in cold water, even), to dislike sweating, to dislike being tickled, and to have some extent of difficulty with most social interaction, except with a few close friends.

-Psychologists would define me as "profoundly gifted". I'm pretty sure that my IQ is somewhere around 147 or 148, and this means that, coupled with my brain condition, I approach social interaction as an experiment within a set of rules that I am constantly redefining. I'm still learning. I communicate much better through type than through speaking face-to-face.

-I read. A lot. Last summer I re-read the entire Harry Potter series in 13 days. That's 315 pages a day on average.

-My dad got me started on legos when I was three (just when Star Wars lego came out... hmmm...) because he wanted to play with the Star Wars legos when I got old enough to have them.

-I write. A lot. I've written a novel together with my dad, called Portents, and we're working on the second one. I'm working on a number of other projects as well.

-I'm good at math. I was the MathCounts (an international program, so some of you might be involved in it) champion for my county last year, and 52nd in the state of Florida.

-I'm good at drawing, compared to the other people in my art class. This isn't really high praise.

-I own neither a functioning cell phone nor an MP3 player. I can play music in my head if I've heard it a few times. And I communicate using mental telepathy (nah, not really. It'd be cool, though).

-My knowledge of trivial Harry Potter facts may be the best in the world. (What house was Orla Quirke sorted into? I know.)

-I share Lord Vetinari's opinion on sports (for those of you who have read Unseen Academicals)

-As my signature says, I'm interested in cryptids, UFOs, and giant squids.

-I can solve a Rubik's cube in 48 seconds.

-I was once locked in the bathroom during pre-school for all of recess. It was the day the petting zoo came. I think that this was one of the experiences that defined me as a person.

-I love theater. Attending, participating, helping backstage, it's all wonderful.

-I have three cats. I like one of them. And she's bipolar.

-I'm nerdy in almost every possible way. My shirts have jokes about quantum physics, I have large knowledge bases in ST, SW, HP, LOTR, and even POTC. I constantly correct people's spelling and grammar, I know how to win almost every time at rock-paper-scissors, and I observe Speak Like a Pirate Day and Speak With A Fake British Accent Day faithfully. In short, to a certain type of ignorant demographic, I'm as wholly unsavoury as you can get. To another, enlightened demographic, I'm awesome. My feelings towards both are mutual.

Thank you for this great topic, Batbrick! I feel like I've gotten to know the members who have posted better, and I hope that this post helps you all to understand where I'm coming from.

Wow! I'm glad to see this topic has taken off!

-Like Movies, Cartoons, and I really enjoy watching channels like Discovery, History, Animal planet or National Geography

Ah yes, that's another thing;

- Animation is my favourite medium as I find it has the least restrictions, and this applies also to anime. Some of my favourite shows are Batman and the entire DC animated universe, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans, Avatar, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Axis Powers Hetalia, Daria, Legion of Superheroes, Invader Zim, Futurama, Dilbert and the first eight seasons of The Simpsons.

The anime series Monster I found to be so good it has ruined a lot of other works for me by simply being so great.

-I am also a big fan of science fiction and am building a collection of my favourite tv series and films of the genre.

--Usually, I am better at doing things whn I am not required to.

I am somewhat the same, I much prefer doing things by my own will rather than being forced to.

- I actually liked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I'm sorry sir, but we must be enemies now!

Me too. :hmpf_bad: I wonder why lefties always get hand cramps, though?

Because the universe likes to stamp its heel on those that are so gifted

And okay, I concede that maybe a near-extinct animal saves us a bit.

I just changed my age on EB a few months ago. I lied about it when I first joined because I was nervous about what people would think of a thirteen-year-old (my age when I joined) on an 18+ website. But I have since realized that there are many people my age here, like Erds or Inconspicuous.

Don't worry guys, I'm technically underage too, 5 months away from turning 18 actually, and I joined two or more years ago.

-Psychologists would define me as "profoundly gifted". I'm pretty sure that my IQ is somewhere around 147 or 148

-I re-read the entire Harry Potter series in 13 days. That's 315 pages a day on average.

Just to clarify, I made this topic so we could find out more about each other and share some fun facts about ourselves, I was kind of hoping it wouldn't turn into a bragfest :classic:

Thank you for this great topic, Batbrick! I feel like I've gotten to know the members who have posted better, and I hope that this post helps you all to understand where I'm coming from.

No problem, I'm finding it interesting myself to read all this. Just a couple more from me as well;

- I am 17

- I love old fashioned hats and almost constantly wear a fedora-esque one (not sure what it is actually to be honest, but it is black with white stripes)

- I also love suits and coats, and have a cheap but much loved double breasted one I often wear on cold days.

- As a resident of Tasmania I must be aware that the weather can go from a cold windy morning to a steaming midday to a stormy afternoon.

- I have almost no musical taste whatsoever, though I love jazz and extravagant orchestra, both probably because I hear them so often in my films.

- I will be attending my second year of college next February.

- My favourite colour is dark blue but I enjoy black as well.

Batbrick Away!

A Little more...

- I devour books, however I wasn't able to read until I was 8, something just *clicked* in my head and within a year my reading age was the level of a normal 14 year old.

-I can write backwards and from right to left, it was how I first wrote (and clued people in to the prescence of some minor brain issue that causes it). This also means I can read from any angle and I form all my letter the "wrong" way around, much to the rteachers dispair.

- I love curry, the hotter the better.

- I love great big chunky boots from New Rock (like the Judoon wear in Doctor Who).

- About the only television I watch is very early in the morning cartoons, Doctor Who and some random interesting documentary programmes. I hardly ever watch in the evening.

Engineering classes are extremely boring. I took a few pre-engineering classes in College because I was going to become a mechanical engineer but I changed majors to Business Administration. Stick with Engineering, you'll probably make more money.

Ok, interesting topic, so here I go. My real name is Gonzalo and I'm 35. I live in Argentina. I'm an architect and have been teacing Architecture at Buenos Aires University for the las 10 years. I own my studio and an currently working, associated with another studio, on the project of a soccer stadium. I've also had other interesting jobs, The most interesting one, was working in the National Parks Administration, which allowed me to visit many really beautifull places and to have really weird experiences. One of them, was to be be cought by night with another park guard at 3500 m above sea level in the andes, and having to sleep there. Though frightening, it was one of the most beautifull experiences in my life. Another one, was sleeping in the middle of the desert, with no human presence 300 km arround.... and waking up to find out that a rattle snake had its lair only 5 feet away!!! This job also allowed me to work on my other passion besides Architecture: Photography.

I'm single and have no kids, but I have the most inteligent and beautiful girlfriend and we are planning to move together soon.

I LOVE animals. Used to have two german shepherd dogs, Otto (for Otto Wagner) and Wolfi (for Wolfgang A. Mozart), but one died last year and the other one this year. I really miss them.

Also, as you can guess from my dog's names, I really like classical music. I also love symphonic rock and The Beatles. Besides collecting LEGO, I am also a huge music collector, owning about 2500 CDs and 700 vynils (including picture disc and that kind of stuff).

I like to play football, and am rather good at it. I also had a rock band when during my dark ages and was invited to join the staff of the Colon theatre. Unfortunaterlly, I've lost most of my voice due to smoking (DON"T SMOKE, it's a real nasty habit, and once you're into it, it's really difficult to quit!!!!)

I like cooking and good food, and can eat almost anything. I also love wine and plan to take a somelier course.

Other weird stuf... I sleep really little (about 3 / 4 hours a day) which makes my friends tell me I'm an owl!!!

I've travelled a lot and visited most of Europe, the States, Middle East and South America. Right know I'm planning a 1 month trip to India and Tibet (with a short stay in Hong Kong). Well... I think that's pretty much waht I have to tell right now. Now you know me a bit more. :)

OK, I'll keep it basic given this is online - but I'm in my 20s and finishing a PhD. Hoping to be employed in the new year - optimistic enough despite the circumstances!

Started AFOL career in Dec 2005 thanks to well-stocked German department stores with magical Lego displays when I visited for Christmas markets and shopping.

Have a number of siblings, and pretty much my whole family are now into Lego as a result of my influence! Even my nephews are into Duplo (and interested in everyone elses Lego :)

Apart from Lego, I like reading - I'm quite into fantasy. Strangly despite reading voraciously once I start, I can find it difficult to pick up a new book or start into one.

I do play some computer games (PC) too, again, often RPG type (although currently addicted once more to Civilization IV).

I don't watch much current TV, but enjoy watching older TV series and films on DVD. I prefer watching with other people though - not much of a one for solitary viewing. Yes it's nerdy but I like Sci-Fi, although mainly older stuff like Star Trek The Next Generation, Babylon 5, etc. I also like comedy, detective, drama, documentary and a certain amount of classical drama type viewing. Think traditional BBC or ITV programming line-up - minus soaps and plus the American sci-fi (although of course BBC did import ST:TNG in the 1990s).

I like playing cards or board games with friends/family. Not much into the traditional Irish pastime of drinking - but with good friends an evening in a pleasant pub can be nice. I'm quite a fan of people eating together though - probably comes from family meal-times!

I love visiting new places and travelling, but even going to places here in Ireland is great - it doesn't have to be abroad!

Priorities for the new year assuming I have income: get driving, and catch up on Lego purchasing (within reason - given the current circumstances I'll be wanting to save even if I have plenty of money).

- My real life name is actually Laurence. But everyone thinks its Joey Lock.

- I am a sarcastic guy like Chandler from friends. Or so my friends say. Truthfully, Im not social. I don't like talking with anyone but my friends for longer than 5 minutes. Im useless at phone calls. I really prefer to be alone, but Im not a Emo, Im happy nearly always, but especially when Im alone.

- Theres nothing I hate more than Chavs. And people who are ignorant and stuck up. Like those girls with there head in the sky, thinking everyone should do what I say because I have breasts... :sceptic::grin:

- My hair used to be quite long, like James Mays hair. But its now short.

- My long term dreams are to create a Lego Fleet, learn German, get an Pierre Cardin wool overcoat I saw in TJ Hughes for £100, Buy a Chrysler 300c and put Suicide doors onto it to make it look like a VIP Executive car. Oh and also meet Colin Hay (Musician) , Till Lindemann (Rammstein vocalist) and Tom Hanks. It might sound weird but I would also have liked to have met Adolf Hitler, in the early years of the war.

- I'm Christian. I am usually a hypocrit, I notice it myself but no one has accused me of being one. I concentrate on others problems and improvements rather than my own.

- I live in Cheam, Surrey, England which is near Sutton and Croydon, the most chav infested places on the earth.

- I love History, Cats, PC Games, my favourite sport is Rugby, firstly because its fun, secondly because its the only sport I get picked Captain and chosen to do demenstrations and Thirdly, I can smash people down!

- I've never broken a bone in my body or had a nose bleed. But I do get colds easily, Ive had this cold for the past 3 weeks, but it is ust a runny nose, it is especially annoying with this weeks Mock exams, Im sniffing every 2 minutes in a 2 Hour exam.

Cool thread. :classic: Let's see...

- My name is Philip

- I'm 15

- Besides LEGO, I really like playing drums and piano, sports (especially golf, soccer and tennis) and I love food and cooking. Food and Wine is probably my favorite magazine.

- I was born in Karlsruhe, Germany. My dad is German, and my family and I go there once or twice a year to visit relatives.

-Traveling is another thing I like to do. I like flying in planes compared to driving, except if your flight gets delayed or they lose your luggage. :hmpf:

- Some of the countries I've been to (not including plane stop-overs) are: Germany, Italy, France, Greece, Mexico and Canada.

- Before living in Lincoln, Nebraska, I lived in Karlsruhe, Germany, then St. Paul, Minnesota and then Corvallis, Oregon. Pretty much all of my mother's family lives here in Nebraska, which is the main reason we moved here. It's nice to be able to play with cousins and stuff.

- My dad's a doctor.

- My brother and I are homeschooled. Right now I'm enrolled in the University of Nebraska Independent Study High School.

- I like playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360.

That's all I can think of for now. :sweet:

I am 23, an applied math PhD student currently in my third year. I read and do math for fun.

I got my first Lego set, 6503, when I was 1. I never really had a dark age. Maybe more of a gray age, when I stopped collecting minifig sets but was still into Technic, although this had a lot to do with the state of Space and City around the early 2000s.

I'm a big PC gamer and have been playing games for almost as long as I've been into Lego. I like games from a wide variety of genres and play both new and old titles regularly. I frequent some other, gaming oriented forums under the same name, and have been posting on forums in general since 1998. I also used to be an active modder in some game communities at one point. This was the big project that I worked on for several years. I have drifted out of it in recent years though, as my free time diminished and the game engines started to become too complex to pick up easily. I used to be involved in competitive multiplayer tournaments for some games in the late 90s, but haven't done that in a long time. Finally, I'm also a computer hardware enthusiast and like to keep track of all the developments in that world.

I am very picky about brick quality and can immediately notice any problems in Lego pieces, new or used. I take a fair amount of care to keep my pieces in perfect shape. I'm also picky about image and motion quality in games. I often get annoyed by various irregularities in game graphics that most other people seem to not notice.

The books I read these days are all non-fiction (mostly technical monographs), and I don't particularly like travel (with the exception of Lego events) or outdoor activities, for that matter. I would rather be building, gaming and doing math all day.

Great topic!

Here goes nothing  :

My real name is Henk de Boer ( a typical Dutch name )

Also born in the Netherlands.

An 18 year old Captain is what I am now.

Besides LEGO I like various things, especially playing drums and some gaming.

I like games like Age of Empires, the Total War series, some pirate games and Oblivion.

I also consider beer as one of my favorite drinks.

Coffee for me every morning!

Travelling is one of the most beautiful things in life, I'm planning to visit places all around the world.

I'm studying Coast and Sea management, a four years during education. I have a great time there and it's very interesting.

I like Folk and Powermetal, rock, but also classic music. No rap or hardcore for me.

I'm proud of my room, which is stashed with LEGO, bricks all around the floor and a large ship in the middle of it, it's a hell to clean my room.

Like most members here I'm spending a lot of money and even more time in my LEGO projects.

It's a better hobby to spend money on then drinking at the pub every day. Also a great thing to do, though.

The religion Protestantism runs my mind for a part. Not much though, but it still does. I'm curious about god's opinion about my life...

We have a nice black haired Labrador dog in the house, but he has to keep his teeth away from the bricks!

That's all I know, there are much more odd habits and funny things about me, but I'm unable to tell them all.

Teen Titans, Cowboy Bebop

Yes, I like those two as well. I'd even say that TT is my favorite American-Anime. If DBZ isn't American.

Some more facts:

- My favorite color is black (yes I call it a color in this instance).

- I always, always, always wear a baseball hat. I don't really care what team or what country it's from, as long as it fits me well. When I come to Brickworld next year, if you're going, look out for my signature red Bahamas hat.

- I have been out-of-country twice, both times to Europe. Between the two trips, I have been to Germany, Austria, Slavania, and Italy (Venice, Chinqua Terra, Tuscany).

- I have been to 14 states (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona, Oregon, New Mexico, Kansas, Iowa, and Nevada).

- I have no siblings, or even known cousins, which is probably the main factor of why I prefer to work alone, and be alone most of the time. I have friends that I hang out with on a regular basis, but The majority of my free time is spent alone.

- I'm very concerned with my looks. I wear the same kind of clothes every day (jeans, T-shirt, light jacket, and a hat).

- I have curly, poofy hair.

- I don't really watch TV that much besides regular shows on local channels. I don't have cable, so if I want to watch a cable show I have to do it online. LOST, Castle, V, and FlashForward are it.

- I enjoy video games, but play them sparingly. If I'm alone, I sometimes will play a Legend of Zelda game or an occasional online match of Mario Kart.

- I own one pet, a calico cat, Fluffball. She's the only pet I ever had besides fish.

- I like music. A lot. I usually prefer the radio or my iPod, but sometimes l use YouTube, especially when writing reviews (Lego or otherwise). I listen to a wide variety of rock, metal, alternative, grunge, and soft rock. My favorite band is Linkin Park.

I am left-handed, the only one in my family... why are nearly all Left-Handed scissors green?

Another thing about being a lefty... I hate how everything has to be specialized, even when most companies who produce things that lefties have a hard time with don't even bother to specialize them. Because of this, I've adapted to cutting with my right (but that's the only thing I do with my right hand). If you put a cup on my right side, I will reach over to grab it with my left.

Weird, I thought your name was Jim.

Nope, JimButcher is a nickname. You can find the full story if you dig through the What's in a Name thread.

And no, it's not after Jim Butcher the novelist.

Ironic, my good friend has an 04 Z06 adn he let me drive it, adn my Dad has an 08 Corvette in Jetstream blue, plus I'm in North Dakota so I'm not to far from you.

Haha, maybe you can "lend" me one of those.

One of my neighbors always gets a fancy sports car every two or so years. In the past six years, he's had a white Corvette Z06 (or C5, I couldn't tell the difference by looking), an orange C6, and some new, really awesome car that I haven't actually seen yet. I'd guess it's one of those new ZR1 models. :sweet:

Engineering classes are extremely boring. I took a few pre-engineering classes in College because I was going to become a mechanical engineer but I changed majors to Business Administration. Stick with Engineering, you'll probably make more money.

Nah, I think mine's pretty fun. We're working with a CAD program called Inventor, which is really neat.

- I like playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360.

Just like everyone else our age.
