lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I thought it was about time to build some MOC's in the train department, so here it is. It's pretty simple, a link trolley used for track repairwork. Above is a real one. It would make a good impulse set, comments welcome. Quote

Maybe a small generator and a few 1x2 dark gray plates. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 Thanks for your response 'Grrr' I'm going to try and design a generator to sit on it very soon. Quote
Zorbas Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Nice and simple. I didn't know that manual trolleys of that kind actually existed. It's good that you've posted a real life one. Adding 1 or 2 accessories more would make it a nice small impulse set as you've said. Quote
YG-49 Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Can I have instructions? And yes, if you make them I'll leave the money on the fridge. In seriousness-ness, It's a good designed trolley, the handle is great, although it needs some luggage on it! Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 Thanks 'Zorbas' and 'YG-49' for your comments, I'm currently in the middle of designing on LDD a generator to sit on this trolley. I too did not know of this device for train track repairwork was around, here is a web site I got the information from. Tracmanrail page for track repair machines Post pics of trolley with more gear on board a.s.a.p. P.S. might see about uploading piece by piece construction details of this MOC - I'll see when I have time. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Nice job LT. This looks like a very useful utility car. I like the placement of the tools in the front. It would make a great Impulse Train set. Quote
