MattZitron Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Has anyone combined sets yet? I'm intrigued to see how they look in reality. Quote
vahkimetru Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I did with the robot mechs and frankly, I'm dissapointed. The design is too fragile, and yet very practical. I don't have Grand Titan though, so I haven't made the human ultra mecha. Quote
KMOI Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Well, the Exoforce site hasn't quite gotten around to post the instructions yet. I'm sure they will quite soon, considering how fast the updates have been on the site. Quote
gerkenz Posted February 20, 2006 Posted February 20, 2006 Maybe you've seen this before but here are some pictures of 7700 + 7701 I've found on brickshelf: not my pictures Quote
KimT Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 I just build the combo mech from 7700 and 7701. I just say this: Using two great sets for one mech doesn't make it perfect...far from it :-X It's fragile and has trouble standing straight up... Pics can be found here when public. KimT and here's a pic of the mech for those who can't wait Quote
Deinonychus Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Yeah...looks like you're better off keeping those as two seperate mechs instead of one big one. Ah well...they can't all be great...at least it gives you a good way to kill an hour or so ;-) Quote
gerkenz Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 It's fragile and ... Same Problem with the stealth wasp: everything in the front area will fall apart if you're moving this alternative set. :-( Need some mods |-/ I think. Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Well, most thought goes into the 'main' model anyway. Then again, the alternate models for EF look better then the 'main' ones. But they obviously didn't use their time to make it sturdy, but to make the main model sturdy. I do agree that the combiner posted by Kimt doesn't look that great though. The other combiner as posted by Gerkenz looks a lot better. Quote
natelite Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I have combined both 7700+7701 and 7702+7703 sets. Both are super top heavy. For the 7700+7701 set I need to add small pieces to the underside of the tip of the feet to stabilize the set. The decals definitely make the sets more appealing. The two are giants, higher than the normal $15 mechas by the height of the uplink/sentry unit. But they are not playable, and mostly are for display. Btw, has anyone modded the 4 large mechas to have hands yet? Quote
