lightningtiger Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Cheeky eh ? AWESOME MOC you have there 'Kris Kelvin' ! Love the design and details - waiting on BS so I can see the interior better, OMG you are a genius MOCer ! All the palace's wells done very well in brick and round plate ! The grand gates are really grand and awesome at the same time ! I'm a conformist! 'Kris Kelvin' (I hope this goes FP for you) Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 That's fantastic! The 'sand' colours of the walls suit very good on this building and it has great building techniques. I see you can take take the 2 upper parts away from it, so I'm really looking forward to see pictures of the interior. One thing: I'm not sure of it but don't those guards always keep their rifle in their right hands? Anyway, it's definetely Great work! Quote
Ratshot Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 This probably fits here? Am I right? It's in the right place, so no worries This would defiantly make a good Lego set. Its so lush detailed. Great work kris kelvin Quote
the Inventor Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Nice work, kris kelvin. I really like the colors of this building and the front gate. I would really like something like this as an actual set. the Inventor Quote
Fires-storm Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Superb job Kris! the color scheme is amazing, the gate is well done, and everything about it is period architecture. superb job, keep it up Quote
Jonas Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Hi Kris, a really nice MOC. Can you tell me, what was your inspiration for this building? A real palace? Quote
Erdbeereis Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Lovely MOC Kris! You've been frontpaged. I love the round studs layered in with the building, they give the MOC a great texture. Quote
RoryoCox Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 That is amazing. Much better than any f TLCs modular designs. The way you made the wall and gates is genious. Thanks for sharing this beautiful MOC with us. Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 What an excellent creation! Really nice! Great architecture, the fence around it and the door are just top notch. The box looks great too! Great job! Quote
MetroiD Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Ah yes, moi aussi, but I'll do it in Ace Ventura style: buh-luuuuh-oh-gguuuuhd! Quote
Alex the Great Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Another great MOC kris kelvin, or should I say set. There are many great details that I could list off forever, but the fact it's photoshopped onto a lego box is awesome! Good job. Quote
Badsneaker Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 This is great stuff, as usual. And why are you not working at LEGO? Quote
Zorro Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 Looks very good, I would definatly buy such a set. But it appears I would have to wait untill 2105...I don't know if I will be able to build it then...in fact I don't even know I will be alive by then ! If the release date only was 2015 . Quote
CommanderFox Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Thats one very cool MOC you have made kris kelvin. I like how its Modular. The colour scheme is really nice! At first I thought it was a future set! It sure does look like one! Very well done! CommanderFox Quote
Rick Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I forgot to mention.... Ah yes, moi aussi, but I'll do it in Ace Ventura style: buh-luuuuh-oh-gguuuuhd! Indeed, worthy of both Quote
kris kelvin Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Thanks guys for nice words :) I`m very glad that you like it. It`s always nice that my MOC makes positive feelings Quote
curtisrlee Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Woah, almost freaked out here! Thought it was a real set! Good job here Quote
Ras 74 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Woah, almost freaked out here! Thought it was a real set! Double that one! Very good "set" with lots of details. Also like the colour scheme of your building. The box artwork is VERY impressive for sure. Will there be any interior added? Quote
kris kelvin Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 No, unfortunately there isn`t any interior. It was build for a contest so I need to work fast. Quote
the_green_avenger Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 No, unfortunately there isn`t any interior. It was build for a contest so I need to work fast. WOW! I (most 100% certificated, utmost definately) couldn't have done it better myself. All the textures, elements, architecture, EVERYTHING flow together nicely. All it really needs is that interior (and its never too late to make one!) What contest? (I'm sure you'd do great) Quote

In case you may not know, it is generally frowned upon to post a reply to a thread that is more than a month or two old when the new post contains a one line complement. More established members have already posted their comments when this thread was current. It's alright to post in older threads when something more significant is added to the topic, such as an update to the MOC, a question to the builder, a testimony of how the MOC was an inspiration, replying to a poll, etc. Quote
Duke Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 I somehow missed seeing this a couple of months ago so i'm glad for the bump. Another masterpiece Kris, I particularly like the use of tricolour flowers. Quote
