I came accross this ebay auction for a Lego stereo system from Japan. 2004. Does anyone know if this is an official item? I mean is it real?

Looking at the link you provided I would guess it's

a) real

but

b) not an official item.

Some "Extended Line" products have been produced in the name of Lego, but from different companies.

I have never seen that stereo system before.

Yep, it's real alright, but take it from a hifi tech. it's not the greatest. Maybe 5 Watts per channel, yeah right ! and the cd display right out of the 1980's also I don't think it's got an FM radio. :wacko:

The cd storage idea is very sound, don't know why Lego don't do storage units that can click together like bricks or plates.

Even the packing boxes are overgrown Lego bricks, cute ! :wink:

I guess it's only really useful as a collectable for in the future, I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

Some products actually say LEGO, and some don't.

The stereo system was sold by Tokyo Hands. I am pretty sure about it. It is not an official product and doesn't say "Lego" anywhere. Just the ebay seller put it into his description.
