General Redwater Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 (edited) Ok set, but I thought this was a AFOL website . For Lego only. Edited April 9, 2010 by General Redwater Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 See, I do like the figures quite a bit, like tiny little action figures. Slightly less stylised that minimates. Those flames look great! Also: Does the "flying action" work like it is supposed to? Thanks for the review Ok set, but I thought this was a afol website . For lego only. Yes it is an AFOL site, but myself and a few others have been reviewing clone sets here in the Community subforum, to let the rabid fans see what other brands come up with and the useful parts therin. prateek Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 The mini action figure thing and the flames are cool (oxymoron? ), but the set is kinda weird. Quote

And to be honest, I am being tempted by some of those Halo sets. Some of them have a huge piece count for a fraction of the price of a similar-sized Lego set. Although, looking at the plastic quality on those grey bricks in Iron Man's workstation... eww. Edited March 27, 2010 by Dunjohn Quote

KimT Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Ok set, but I thought this was a afol website . For lego only. Indeed it is. Now why would you spell "AFOL" like "afol", it's an abbreviation and thus you need to use capitol letters. Plus if you're an AFOL, why does it say that you're from a place where legos grow on trees? LEGO is another abbreviation, this time from the worlds "leg" & "godt" = LEGO - which you'd know were you an AFOL. And yet again you have to spell it with capitol letters. Doesn't feel nice, does it? How do you think he felt, when you indirectly said he wasn't/isn't an AFOL, just because he reviewed a non-LEGO set? This is the community section, you are NOT forced to read it, nor are you forced to comment on it. Had you spend a little time looking through it, then you'd see that there's more than a few reviews here on non-LEGO sets and there's even a topic just for discussing copycat products. Good and grown-up/AFOL discussions on an AFOL website. Quote
FilmGirl27 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Weird set. The figure is really bad looking. On the other hand, those flame pieces are so cool. Here's hoping for a LEGO version. Quote
simonjedi Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 The arm flame pieces would be good for a regenerating doctor MOC. But thats pretty much it. Thanks for the review anyway strider406. Quote

Good and grown-up/AFOL discussions on an AFOL website. I did not mean that he wasn`t a AFOL. I was just a little surprised when I saw a megablocks set on here. I also know Lego is a abbreviation. The only reason I put "Legos" was because I thought it sounded more grammatically correct. I did not mean to insult anybody in any way, if I did I am sorry. Quote

larry marak Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Human torch as well. The series contains 4 versions of Iron Man armour, making the sets a collectible series. The flames do indeed fit well in the hands of the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four tin-boxed Reed Richard's lab set. Look pretty good in the Invisible Woman's hands too. Quote
Big Cam Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Not exactly my cup of tea, but thanks for a great review. Those flame piece alone are worth a few bucks, they are great. Although the figure is pretty accurate, I just can't like the shape, they almost look like an action figure. I guess that's why I collect LEGO's. Thanks for the review! Quote
FinalFeature Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 This is my first time looking at a clone brand out of the box and all i say is that i don't think i will ever buy these in my lifetime. Thanks for the review strider406. LegoGalactus Quote
