Hound Knight Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Here's my current project, minfig adaptations of the characters from the comic series The Adventures of Tintin: Enjoy! Fun Fact: Tintin is due to be made into a feature film in 2011 directed by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. Quote
ProducePrincess Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 These are nice decals houndknight and they are also pretty acurate to the real ones in the comic. I wonder what you would use for a tintin hairpiece? What characters will you be doing next? Tintin was probably the only comic i ever got into and i really enjoyed them .I have all but 4 of the tintin books and i've watched all the flim versions Quote
LuxorV Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Really nice job, Hound Knight Even though I'm not very familiar with the Tin-Tin series, I can recognise most of the characters, and I think your decals convey the original design effect very well! Thanks for sharing. LuxorV Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 They look great Too bad there isn't a green hat for prof. Calculus. So I think you will have to make that custom, and that will probably be the best for all 'head accesory'. Can't wait to see the real, 'completed' minifigs! Good luck. Quote
Joey Lock Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Here's my current project, minfig adaptations of the characters from the comic series The Adventures of Tintin: Enjoy! Fun Fact: Tintin is due to be made into a feature film in 2011 directed by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. Ah, I am going to be watching extremely carefully! I am the biggest Tintin fan, Ask me anything! What about Colonel Alvarez, Sponsz and Tapioca? I would love to see a MOC of the Inca temple or Tabacco street scene, That could be fairly easy to make. Just a shop with trucks and motorcycles. I may try to make a full sized Marlinspike hall... Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Your creations are always excellent. Great work. Quote
Bobskink Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Nice work indeed, I'm currious to see the rest. (btw, the names are funny in Englisch) I am really holding my breath for the movie. Quote
Hound Knight Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Thanks guys! They look great Too bad there isn't a green hat for prof. Calculus. So I think you will have to make that custom, and that will probably be the best for all 'head accesory'. Can't wait to see the real, 'completed' minifigs! Good luck. I've modded an Indy fedora for the Professor, the thing I'm having trouble with is making bowler hats for Thompsons (with a "p" and without). I may try to make a full sized Marlinspike hall... Feel free to use my decals if you do. Quote
Captain Becker Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Are you planning to do the Haddock`s and Tintin`s heads too? Awesome work Keep it up Captain Becker Quote
Dutch Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I have never seen The Adventures of Tintin but what I can say is wow! These decal designs are wonderfully made. Quote
Riksslego Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I like 'em. I used to be a big fan of Tintin. Especially the soldier torso is nice, nice for MP. Quote
guy montag Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Really well done. I love Tintin also and wish TLC did a Tintin line. Who knows maybe one day. Good job and it will be a thrill to see the finished product. Quote
Skalldyr Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 the thing I'm having trouble with is making bowler hats for Thompsons (with a "p" and without). I used a black standart hair with a rubberband. It's not easy to attach but looks nice. Quote
Joey Lock Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I used a black standart hair with a rubberband. It's not easy to attach but looks nice. I'd say try this hat: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41334 And put the Black Elastic Bands, Thin ones, Round. Make a bowler. See if it works. Quote
Hound Knight Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 I'd say try this hat:http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=41334 And put the Black Elastic Bands, Thin ones, Round. Make a bowler. See if it works. Great idea! I'll try it when I get home. "Precisely, I'll get home when I try it." Quote
Joey Lock Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Great idea! I'll try it when I get home."Precisely, I'll get home when I try it." "You got it wrong, Thomson" "But I was following what you said!" "You can't have been following what I said, I was following what you said!" "Precisely, that's why I was following you, to see what I was gonna say about following it!" It's funny to make there conversations. Quote
