Rick Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I found these pictures of a 'tan bicycle' on Brickshelf. Is it really one more piece to add to Shadows' wish list? Or am I fooled by a yellowed 1980s white bicycle (April fools)? Quote
Siegfried Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 It looks tan to me, and from what I can tell TLG have made a new mould for the bike. Thus I think new colours are likely! (The question is, why is the Brickshelf so unsure of his own pictures? ) Quote
Shadows Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Is it really one more piece to add to Shadows' wish list? Certainly looks like it. I'm woefully lacking in bicycle variations, too. I don't have yellow or bright light orange for sure, and I don't even think I have white. It's sad... You know what to do, everyone! Nobody has offered me anything good in ages. I'm having rare parts withdrawal. These days I see parts and I'm not even sure if they're rare. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Interesting, it comes in Dark tan and Tan, but I'm not excited about the yellow. What's different about these versions? Quote
The Who Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) I have heard of some people dying their bicycles and motorcycles almost matching colors, so I think that might be what this is. @indianajones: Where do you see anything about dark tan? Edited April 6, 2010 by The Who Quote
Shadows Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Just for clarification, at this time the known bicycles are: Common: White, Black, Red, Yellow Uncommon (promo sets): Dark Pink Rare (no sets): Bright Light Orange, Blue Quote
prateek Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Awesome! New bike colour. It's sad that I don't even own one bike yet Quote
jonwil Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I just with TLG would use ANY color of Bicycle other than red. Quote
David Thomsen Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Common: White, Black, Red, YellowUncommon (promo sets): Dark Pink Rare (no sets): Bright Light Orange, Blue Um... this might be a stupid question, but how do the last colours exist at all if they aren't in any sets? Quote
Siegfried Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Um... this might be a stupid question, but how do the last colours exist at all if they aren't in any sets? The red Darth helmet has no sets either, but it does exist! How? Runs for the theme parks, test runs, club runs... there are many reasons, but there are many set-less parts. Quote
Piranha Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Nobody has offered me anything good in ages. I'm having rare parts withdrawal. These days I see parts and I'm not even sure if they're rare. Have you been to my BL Store yet? Cool Bike though . I used to have a yellow but it broke, Quote
CMP Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Hope this isn't some kind of post April Fool's Day joke. I can see some MOCs with flavor in this new color, if it does or will exist. Quote
Dragonator Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 What a lovely bike, it looks very nice in tan. Your line up of bikes has me all tingly Shadows, very nice. Love that dark pink one. Quote
Rick Posted April 7, 2010 Author Posted April 7, 2010 Love that dark pink one. I have four of those from the Telekom promo sets. I also have two yellow ones from the 6420 Mail Carrier set. I also have some red bicycles, but it looks like I don't own the more common black and white ones. Quote
Whittleberry Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Ooh hooray! I love LEGO bicycles and would love to have a whole group of them in different colours, but unfortunately only the red one has been about in sets recently. Maybe LEGO should switch every few years? If we're getting a new set with a bicycle, it might have something to do with that public transport hub TRU exclusive set (the one we voted on). A new coloured bike could definitely be something done to make the set sell. However tan is a bit of an odd choice of colour; I would think that a lime or orange bike would be a bit more realistic and flashy. Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Wow a tan bike ! I hope they make it easy to get as Ive only got red bikes. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 @indianajones: Where do you see anything about dark tan? Maybe it's my computer, but I see one Yellow, one Tan, and one Dark tan. Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Maybe it's my computer, but I see one Yellow, one Tan, and one Dark tan. Actually your seeing one Yellow, one White and one Tan. Quote
paul_delahaye Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I was so hoping these downhill mountain bikes were going to be released either as an official or promo set Quote
Fugazi Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I was so hoping these downhill mountain bikes were going to be released either as an official or promo set Huh? Never seen this before, is this an event-related promo? Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Huh? Never seen this before, is this an event-related promo? Neither have I, and a quick search of google reveals nothing of it. Most likely it's a MOC though as I doubt the recomended age group would be 8-28. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) Now could this and this both be CUSTOM manufactured eh ? Just a thought ! I'm a conformist! ! Edited April 10, 2010 by lightningtiger Quote
The Who Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 That "set" is a MOC.And a digital one at that, which means it does not exist and never has. Quote
SlyOwl Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Okie, it's either custom or a new mold. Look at the round bit where the pedals are - on the tan bike, it is slightly indented, on normal bikes it is flat, with the Lego logo sticking out. Quote
