LuxorV Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Nice picture so far, Front. I'm just a bit worried about you, though: first you say this is 2009's event, and then you think this is already May! I corrected the topic title and description, but you should ask Holodoc to see after you LuxorV Quote
Front Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 Thank you very much LuxorV for fixing my mistakes, it got a bit late yesterday. Here are my pictures from friday: Inside the Temple, the new attraction of Legoland in Billund in 2010. A view from the rotating tower looking down on miniland. Training for the firefighter competition. Here two teams side by side. Driving back full speed. They won this round of firefighting. Monorail enthusiasts. They obviously spotted the photographer. Ras and Iz Quote
Morten Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 To all eventees Billund 2010. Thanks for a great event, and a special thanks to Ras (and his helping friends) for a great job making this happen. I really had fun, good company and good competitions (all though I did not win at all). I am back in Copenhagen, not able to do the ½-marathon i was leaving earlier to do, because of great pain in my left food, a huge disappointment! I should not have left Billund. Looking forward to meeting you all again, event 2011? Morten Quote
Front Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 Yes Morten, I was great fun. Here more pictures, now from saturday. Nyhavn in Copenhagen. Amaliehaven, Copenhagen. Nice ship in harbour of Copenhagen, Amalienborg, Copenhagen. Holodoc in miniland. Excellent roof technic. Old steam train. This must be Bergen in Norway. Iz and Ras in miniland. Asian temple. More will follow..... Quote
Front Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) I guess this is a Danish castle. A Japanese temple. Is it from Kyoto ? Fredensborg in Denmark. Kim T Is that Snot ? A Norwegian, a Swede and a Dane. Prominent people of Eurobrics. Full speed on the rollercoaster. At the top of the track there is only one way, and that is downwards. Full speed, air intake open. Firefighters from three, sorry I mean four countries. Two at the water pumps, two aiming the nozzles, teamwork at its best. Another three-countries team, the Swedish girls driving the vehicle with passion. Superkalle joined the team of fire fighters. A biker, a LDD nerd and a shipbuilder. All EB friends. That's all the pictures I got, I look foreward to seeing more from the event. Edited April 25, 2010 by Front Quote
Erdbeereis Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Awesome pictures Front! Looks like you guys had a great time, although it looks quite cold. What camera did you use? The pics look fantastic. Quote
Front Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 What camera did you use? The pics look fantastic. I use a Canon 5D and in many of the pictures I use a Sima 180/3.5 lens. You can click on the pictures and open them up in my flickr account. Here you can click "all sizes" and see the 1600 pixel wide original. In flickr you can also see data like camera and lens used Quote

Quarryman Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Thanks to all eventees for another awesome long-weekend, I had an absolutely wonderful time, and look forward to seeing you all again next year (or earlier if possible, we'll see). The at times crappy weather on Friday being the only negative thing, but it did mean there were fewer people in the park, so it wasn't all bad And this was my first visit to Legoland Billund in 22 years, it had changed quite a bit Haven't gotten around to importing and uploading all my pics yet, I'll fix that tomorrow. I Scream Clone Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Good times people, glad to see all the fun. A Norwegian, a Swede, and a Dane walk into a bar. Good stuff. Quote

Rick Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Very good photos! Thanks for posting! Agreed, looking forward to others' pictures. I love Holodocs uniform! You don't have a Walrus outfit? Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Awesome photos. It's so cool to see people being brought together by a common interest. Gives me hope for the world (sniff)... Quote
WhiteFang Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Real awesome nice photos down there. I am really envy of you guys, having so much fun down there, I really wish I could join you all, one day. By the way, Front, your pictures are real crisp clear. I want to see more pictures, and I am sure there are more actions which have not been uploaded yet. Quote
def Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 This looks like great fun. I might just aim for 2012 or 2013... I've always wanted to visit Europe, and the missus is not entirely hostile to a Lego themed vacation. Quote
Holodoc Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Thank you for uploading your photos so fast, Front! I'm amazed that you took photos even inside the temple ride - how many points did you get then? For me it will take some time to upload mine. The last 5 days were quite exhausting (but of course worth it) and I have a lot of things do be done at home. Thanks Ras for organizing again all the competitions, visists and whatever. You're the best! And special thanks go to the town of Hamburg for blocking two of three lanes on the motorway for NOTHING , resulting in a 20 km traffic jam and two hours delay on our way back home. Quote
Superkalle Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Totaly awesome event. Great Activities. Late nights. Steamy athmosphere, competitions, Lego sets everywhere. Great with the photos Front. Specially like the group photo so I know for sure I was there myself and who everybody else was And special thanks Ras for fixing it all! Quote
Etzel Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) It was a great event, thanks everybody! Now I have to somehow adjust to a world without LEGO 24 hours a day, I think I might be severely addicted to those ABS-bricks now. A clear sign of that should be that I woke up one night of the event and thought Freddie's snoring was the rattling of LEGO bricks Thanks to Front for the amazing pictures, I didn't remember to take many myself because of all the fun that was going on . Edit: Seems to be some fluger thing with my name now too Edited April 26, 2010 by PrEtzel Quote
