Today I received the set from Amazone France (ordered on the 26th). Because it's my daughters birthday I don't have much time today to build it and review it but I made some quick photos. Anyway here we go:

Box overview:

Side of box:

Box - upcoming sets and some details of the set

IMG_6396.JPG

Box - Overview of inside

IMG_6397.JPG

The Bags - 4 in total:

IMG_6400.JPG

The Manuals - 2 in total:

IMG_6401.JPG

Sticker for the canopy:

IMG_6402.JPG

Medical droid wrapped in individual bag:

IMG_6403.JPG

Medical droid complete:

IMG_6412.JPG

All minifigs are in bag no.1

IMG_6413.JPG

The new Clone Pilot:

IMG_6416.JPG

PART 2:

Ok, found some time to build the cockpit

Without the side pieces:

With the sides attached:

Different Angle:

Bottom:

I must admit I really like this part of the shuttle, it feels (looks) really authentic. I holds 1 seat for the Clone Pilot.

What I also discovered (in the manual)is that the helmet of Darth Vader can be attached to his head with some sort of movement of parts...and then he will stand upwards when the movement is finished:

1st stage:

IMG_6424.JPG

2nd stage:

IMG_6425.JPG

3rd Part

Today I will try to finish the shuttle. Will post photos along the way. If you want any specific info or photo let me know and I will try to help.

First for Ras 74:

The different stages of adding the helmet to the head of Darth Vader and putting him on his feet:

Overview of the sick-bay

Helmet attached to "mechanics"

Helmet almost attached to Anakin (AKA Darth Vader):

Helmet attached:

Darth Vader upwards and ready for battle:

Oke about this part of the construction:

I like the build so far, it's not really repetive and details are great. Also seats for everyone which is a nice extra.

Storage area for the Lightsabers, 1 for Darth and 1 for Palpatine:

Bag 1 (cockpit) + Bag 2 (Base) attached:

IMG_6445.JPG

Landing gear, looks really good:

Down:

Wings attached to open base:

IMG_6452.JPG

Wings in upward position:

IMG_6453.JPG

Finished Shuttle, overview: (all minifigs inside)

IMG_6455.JPG

Back of Shuttle:

IMG_6458.JPG

Folded wings:

IMG_6463.JPG

Side view (top wing 1 side studs 1 side not) negative point in my view

IMG_6464.JPG

IMG_6465.JPG

Conclusion:

I must admit I have really liked the build this of this Shuttle. Nice little details and it looks like the "real" deal. Minifigs are great and 4 is not bad.

70 Euro is a bit to much I gues but that counts for more LSW sets these days. Building time is around 1 hour I think if you keep the pace in it.

The real negative in my view is the upper wing, better made it with studs showing on both sides.

Overall I would give it the following scores:

Minifigs : 8

Building time : 7

Price : 6

Overall look : 9

Excepted the medical droid, this model is a fail, just like many of those which have been released during the past 2 years... bof.gif

Thanks for the pictures anyway. :classic:

Damn, France delivers!!!

That Anakin fig and Palpy fig are FTW, I may just buy those, the ship doesn't look all that great.

I had the same feeling about the Republic Attacj Shuttle, but that one turned out pretty well, when I finally bought and build it. So I'll pass on judging this as quickly.

More pics and more reviews from our French members NOW!

:sceptic: I think the set itself is really ugly, but I love the minifigs! I think I'll pass, I have to save for Slave 1 and the Harry Potter line.

Thanks for the pictures though!

This is all happening very fast!

Not much of an interior, but nice feature. The medical droid seems to have a fixed head. The clone pilot is still a minute disappointment (I want all my clones to have a black head underneath).

Well I love shuttles, and this is a must for me. The interior looks a bit shallow, like the RAS, but I'm sure it can be modded.

How come it's so early in France? I thought it wasn't due till August.

To my knowledge the new wave (summer) is due to be released in June.

Noone knows why so early in France - perhaps some kind of test on sale and popoularity by TLG?

It's an average set but if it wasn't for the minifigs I wouldn't buy it.

How come these are out in France? I thought this wasn't due until August with the rest of the sets. Or is that simply the case for UK only?

Wow, so those listings on Amazon.fr are the real deal!! Lucky French!

Thanks for the early review. Beyond the figs, I'm not too interested in this set. It seems to share a lot with the RAS, as someone else mentioned, right down to the shallow interior. Looking forward to the full review (happy birthday btw), but I don't see my original feelings about the set changing.

Does this set not come with the little cart they carried burned Anakin in? The manual looks to show a picture of the pilot hilariously carrying Anakin in his arms... wouldn't that be a logical inclusion here?

I'm not really liking this set. It seems like a ship no one was really clamoring for, and it does not seem executed well.

Man all those minifigs are fantastic! The detail on them is pretty amazing especially the med droid his torso piece is spot on. Thanks for this little sneak peak :cry_happy:

EDIT: I just noticed that on the back the pilot is carrying Anakin  Stupid lazy med droid

I'm not from France, I'm from the Netherlands. Amazon France delivers in the EU that why I could buy it.

My first impression is that the set is quit expensive (70 Euro) for the amount of pieces...maybe I can start building in a few hours so we can get a better idea of the shuttle itself :S

I'm not too sure on this set, I don't like the interior much and I hate to say it, but not even the minifgures provide enoguh appeal to me for this set. :sceptic: I shall have to wait until I see the full review before making my decision though.

Also, excuse my ignorance but why is the clone pilots head white? I recently re-watched SW EPIII and I don't recall a pilot with a face like that.

I thought it was August in America?

Anyways thanks for the pics. It really looks like a fail, with random dark tan and white pieces.
