Made in China(he16767) Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 SL7 Steamlined Steam Locomotive SL7 Steamlined Steam Locomotive is a Locomotive in China to carry Express"Aisa" The Express is run in 134km/h and luxurious in that time in whole Aisa Railway The locomotive is made by Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co in 1934 (Nowadays,this Company is making CHR High speed trainset in China) In the whole world,it just left SL7 751 & 757 I added Power Functionin the locomotive,so I can play it and look on it. The locomotive you modeled it after is pretty cool itself, I had never seen an engine like that all these streamlined lines and cool features must have been a royal pain to do!!! Your model is dead on as far as accuracy, it would be super cool to build the very first one in your post, the blue one!!! I'm a conformist!, this is awesome!!!! Quote

I saw an exhibition about Streamliners in the UK a week or two ago and I have to say, although they do look impressive and quite beautiful, they do seem lack a certain charm that comes with traditional steam. That said, your build is fantastic and its great the way you've incorporated the motor and lights into it. ^^ I'm also impressed with the time you took to solve the little problems (Or big depending on how you look at it!) related to the turning of the locomotive. missouri_bb63 Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 (edited) Congratulations on making a fantastic looking steamer! I especially like the front. Looking at the side profile comparison with the prototype, the drivers look a bit too small on your model. If you have the money (and of course the time), you might want to try using the XL drivers from Big Ben Bricks.
