Duq Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 (edited) I built this little harbour tug a while ago but only got around to taking pictures the other day. My plan is to build a bigger ship at minifig scale in future and this was mainly an exercise in building a hull. As a result there's not much detailling in the superstructure or on deck. For the colours I've used the livery of Dutch company Smit. Their blue/yellow is very recognisable. It's not meant to be a scale model of a particular ship but it's based on Smit harbour tugs like this one: Edited June 25, 2011 by Rufus Indexed Quote
Big Cam Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I think the only thing you are missing is a small radar on top, otherwise it looks really close to the picture. Great job, adn you nailed the coloring. Quote
Milan Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 I like the hull. You did nice job in recreating the real thing with Lego. Looking forward to the Minifig scale version! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Great hull design. It looks exceptional! Quote
