crossmr Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Set Name: Hello Kitty Cafe HK12000 Price: 7200W ($5.98 USD) Pieces: As usual not sure Size: not assembled This isn't a full review, because I can't build this one. It's actually a gift for a friend's daughter's birthday back in Canada. I just ordered it off one of the sites here (paid yesterday arrived today, korea ships fast), so I opened it to make sure it was right and everything was there. Plus I was curious about these giant headed Hello Kitty minifigures. For those who don't know Oxford has the Hello Kitty license here in Korea. They have a small range of block toys themed to Hello Kitty. They also have a Disney license. Being that she's a girl I thought I'd send her some girl Lego. But what does the set have to offer the rest of us? Well, it does include utensils. Fork, spoon, knife and some purple wagon wheels that might come in handy. it has a windshield serving as a food cover that might come in handy and those freakish minifigs. Also some food items which might be handy for a MoC. Anyway here are all the shots I could take of it without opening it up. If her daughter gets it built I'll ask her to send some completed photos of it. Quote
Shadows Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Aw! I've got to have these sets. Clones, you say? I don't care! Must. Have. Quote
crossmr Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 Aw! I've got to have these sets. Clones, you say? I don't care! Must. Have. If you check my other reviews you'll see that clone isn't really a dirty word when it comes to Oxford. Their quality has been very good all around and across many sets. I suspect the Hello Kitty is just as good. Quote
TheWarden Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 And now... I've seen everything. Considering how rare pink and purple is... it's kinda neat. Quote
KimT Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Aw! I've got to have these sets. Clones, you say? I don't care! Must. Have. Agreed, my daughter's nuts about that Kitty Sadly I've only seen the duplo sized sets here in Denmark Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Nice selection of pink and purple parts. But the Kitty's bodies seem to be bigger than what it should be, it should be shorter IMO. But heck, li'l girls won't care. Quote

But heck, li'l girls won't care. The bodies are standard figure size with attached giant heads. You should be able to take these and attach to any minifigure. Even Lego. Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Aw how cute ! Now the challenge is to make it out of Lego - of course minus one Kitty ! Thanks for the review 'crossmr' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
dr_spock Posted July 20, 2010 Posted July 20, 2010 It is cute enough to want one. Unfortunately, my daughter is past that cute stuff stage so I can't say I'm getting it for her. :( Quote
