roamingstop Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) Along with AndytheNorth, I had also been inspired with a longer version of 10016. The physical model is in the still to finish category, and with multicoloured parts (until Bricklink orders all arrive). However I share with you the designs and welcome your feedback. The tanker was inspired by this photo of a carless petro-carrier. Screenshots of the LDD versions are below. Dark blue Lego did not (yet) make dark blue cylinders... pity. But the other colour schemes are valid. Dark red and yellow Octan coloured Edited July 31, 2010 by roamingstudio Quote
andythenorth Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Great :) Will be good to see photos of it. I thought of doing my tanker MOCs without the chassis, but I couldn't figure out a nice way to do it. Looks like you did :) Like the dark red colour scheme. Shame there's no green ends / yellow curved panels, this colour scheme is vivid! http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tank_car2090.jpg Quote

Actually I am working on this version with the base from the new cargo trains / Andythenorth design and this would represent the "Vivid" russian tanker much better. But for now it is not too bad. Once I have photos I will upload the LXF for others. Edited July 31, 2010 by roamingstudio Quote

lightningtiger Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Excellent designs 'roamingstudio' - the yellow and blue ones I consider the best of the whole collection - I would like to see these built out of bricks ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
