Legoamon's Tomb

Legoamon has been a popular sovereign. He gifted his folk with many new inventions and building techniques. But his time was coming, and a massive tomb has been built so people never forget what he has done for Egypt.

At the dawn of his life, he comes to the tomb to see if the decoration pleases his taste. The evening sun was irradiating the Nil, melting water and fire into a dancing ballet.

Legoamon looked back at the Tomb, hoping he could live until it was achieved.

I must confess that I could have just typed 'This is a WIP, I need more material from Legoland Pick a Brick', but it just wouldn't have been the same This MOC will by far be my biggest one once it will be complete, as what you see here 'only' is the entrance portal to the tomb.

Glad you like the rocks. The whole MOC started by the rocks, the rest following afterward. I know that puting the entrance near the border of the river isn't the smartest idea, but sometimes practicality has to be sacrificed over aestetic

I am very much liking this WIP Jipay. As Sieggy mentioned the outside rock walls are superb! Loving the statues and the 45 degree angled tiles look great on the walls. Surely you don't get light blue 1x1 tiles from PAB?

This is very nice, a fine backdrop for the pharaoh minifig. Are you planning a removable roof as part of the project or leaving it open?

The tomb will feature a roof, but for now I didn't have enough pieces, so I need to do some serious shopping in some weeks.

Actually, there are no 45 degree tiles. That's the complete wall which is 45 degree with standard 1X1 grey tiles. The 1X1 light blue tiles are from Günzburg pick a brick

I'm seeing a number of interesting bits to steal for future projects and the 1x1 tiled floor puts all those 2x2 tiled floors out there to shame, it's simply .

This is looking great so far! It is very nicely detailed and has a very egyptian feel to it. Also, can somebody please tell me where that girl's face is from? I have never seen it before, and it looks very useful.

Impressive MOC, Jipay. It must have been hard work placing all those floor tiles.

This looks like it could be the bottom floor of a 'modular tomb' - perhaps this could be a new line for TLC exclusives?

I love it! The outside wall is so sober with few colors and man-made decorations, but once you go through the door there's a fantastic world of colors and decorations all over. This reminds me of those Egyptian tombs I've visited a few years ago in the Valley of the Kings.

I keep looking at this with the new parts that'll come with Egypt Quest in my mind, thinking how they could fit in with the interior. Especially those new colorful wings would fit in nice.

It would be awesome if LEGO were to make an exclusive Egyptian set that looks like this tomb! With the upcoming Egypt Quest theme the timing might be just about right. Maybe someone should whisper that in their ears.

I'll definitly use those wings somewhere. I already have some ideas, but I'll have to experiment first

Amazing WIP Jipay! Ever since the day I set my eyes on the Pharaoh collectible minifig I have been dreaming of such a MOC. I can't wait to see where this is going! As mentioned by others, I love the contrast between the rough and earthy exteriors and the ornate and colourful interiors. The river shore is also beautifully done. Looking forward to the updates!

Love the contrast of inside to out. Jealous of all those 1x1 tiles. I the crabs in the furniture.

My suggestion would be put the anubis up on a plinth so he is more proportionally filling the archway compared to the sarcophagus.

Awesome MOC so far, Jipay! So colourful, really makes everything stand out. Awesome decorations, and as has been said countless times already, the rock work is fantastic. This will be magnificent when completed!
