The_Customizer Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 (edited) I am very proud to present to you my fine entry for the MCW 2010 Contest. Enjoy! Theme: Lord of the Rings. Character: Frodo Baggins Mark Wright always loved reading the Lord of the Ring books by J.R.R. Tolkien, and he had quite a background in acting, so when it was time for the LOTR Trilogy to be made, he just HAD to audition! Of course, his favorite character was Frodo Baggins. SO he decided to try out for the part where he has to throw the Ring into Mount Doom, he even brought his own home version of "Sting", and the "One Ring", he even dressed the part, he was such a perfect fit, that he couldn't of done anything, but win the audition of playing as Frodo! And he did, but one problem was soon realized, he was too tall. At over 6 feet in height, he was unable to act as Frodo Baggins, the 4 foot 5 inch hobbit (he was 1 foot and 7 inches too tall!). But who says he can't be Aragorn? Hmmmm....... Front View of Mark as Frodo Baggins Right Side View Left Side View Back View Vignette View, of Mark in Mount Doom. Pricing of the Custom: Custom Cape: $2.00 (eBay) "Sting": approx. $0.50 for knife and paint. (Knife from Brickarms or something like that, at least that is what I was told ) Decals: $0.02 for paper. Ring: $0.11, ($0.10 for tile, $0.01 for waterslide) Hair: $0.20 Torso: $0.12 Legs: $0.05 Head: Got in a trade. Total: $3.00 I hope you all enjoy looking! Any comments would be more then welcome, thank you for looking! I will soon be selling(in the B/S/T Forum 4 of these wonderfully waterslide-decaled "One Rings" So when I get the topic up I will post a link here! Also, for a comparison of Mark to other figures click this link! ~~T_C out. Edited October 18, 2010 by The_Customizer Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Nice entry The_Customizer. But I just have a couple of suggestions if you don't mind. Clearer pictures would definitely help a lot, plus I think if you put some 'short' minifigs (using the short legs) beside Mark it will emphasize more that he's a tall hobbit. That's it, I wish you good luck in the contest! Quote
Izzy Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I would definitely have customized a pair of the Woody or Jesse long legs to really get the point across. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 I would definitely have customized a pair of the Woody or Jesse long legs to really get the point across. Yes that would work quite well, you could also have the Long, Normal and Short legs next to each other to show that he is even taller Quote
