minion Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) More than meets the eye! Theme: Transformer Character: Optimus Prime Costume Cost: $7~10 Hi all ! I love cosplay! I think it's a really fun hobby, and it helps me learn how to sew. It's also really great to be able to see people make these characters come to life using their own imagination through their sewing skills or use masking tape . This is the Mighty Optimus Prime.Hope you guys like it :) This is my first attempt of making a custom minifig . This minifigs are made from Lego parts plus pla-plate ,AB putty and white putty , and the weapons being from original lego .The begining for the whole progress with cut out some pla-plate scribed panel lines, added few pla-plates, drilled some holes and Sanding was the most difficult part for the whole progress. I've also found that after sanding for a while,My hands lose their sensitivity to the surface for those small pieces so I take a break and go do something else. Must be the vibration of the sanders.....at the end I really enjoy how all those putty parts slowly turn into a single entity. -zenn Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 This is just awesome. It has a nice diy tape feel to it! Quote
Big Cam Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 That looks great. I like the helmet as well as the extra bulk arouns the torso and arms, it makes him look just right. Great entry. Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 The entries are getting much and much challenging as the deadline draws near. This is a nice cosplay. Certainly looks real enough for someone who wants to cosplay Optimus Prime by putting on this colourful cardbox design trademark. Good luck. Quote
Morgan19 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 The bits of tape holding it all together are pretty funny! m19 Quote

XimenaPaulina Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Wow, this is amazing! I simply love it! It really looks very detailed for a cosplay costume but at the same looks amateurish with the tapes. This is one of the stronger entries IMO. Best of luck in the contest! Quote
Santhor Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 All I can say is: yes. This is fantastic! Being an Optumis Prime fan myself, I just couldn't resist this cute little guy with his "trailer" skateboard. Once again, great work. Roll out! -Santhor Quote
