CorneliusMurdock Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Instead of hinging like the original set the roof lifts off of mine. Because of this, the roof can overhang and the chimney can protrude. It also allows for a more connected floor plan. This simple design could easily be modified in different widths and lengths, and made with a variety of colors to produce an entire small village. I'd love to be able to build a few and pack them around the MMV and the rumored windmill set. Exterior front Exterior back Interior with front wall and roof removed. I copied the design of the bed directly from the MMV. Interior from above Feel free to use this design to fill out your own villages. All I ask is that you let me know you have done so and maybe post pictures of your village to share. (I don't have the room or money for a permanent village of my own right now so it would be cool to see it in the context of a larger display.) I'm attaching the LDD file (It does not have the interior) for your convenience and perusal. Adventurer\'s Cottage.lxf.zip P.S. The helmet on the little stand is the Brickforge Great Helm in Dark Gray. Even though I like the new ones by Lego better when worn by minifigs because you can see the eyes better, this one still looks better as a display because the slits are smaller and it is more detailed. Shroffy123 Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I really like what you've done. The colors look well, and the overall design gives off a nice cozy feel. One question, where is the adventurer?? Nice Job! Quote

Admiral Ron Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 This looks great! I must say, i might have to use this design for a village I might be making. Keep up the great work! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 That's a great Cottage MOC Cornelius! The exterior design is simply beautiful with very nice and cozy-looking interiors. I agree this 'generic' cottage will be a good addition to any Medieval Town set-up. Very good work! Quote
Big Cam Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I really like this, it reminds me of Link's cottage in The Legend of Zelda: a link to the past. Best game Nintendo ever Mead IMO. Nice work. Quote
buddy Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 A great Cottage MOC Cornelius Murdock. It would fit in great with the MMV and I like the colours you have used, they go well together. Well done. ~buddy~ Quote
