Mr Man Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 That is very good. the rear engine is a bit too big but for 6 I don't think that matters really. Quote
lego-maniac Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 That is very good. the rear engine is a bit too big but for 6 I don't think that matters really. Lol, I've try to give some advice and he says "If you want to moc Micro as me, moc yours but let me mine as I imagine them" okay, okay, no problems my son ! :) Quote
Praiter Yed Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 They do say that 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree'. I think some adults would be pleased with a mini-MOC as good as this. You must be very proud. Quote
KimT Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 That's extremely well done by a 6 year old Thanks for sharing. Blogged Plus I actually like your flickr picture better: Quote

Stardusty Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I can't say it's masterpiece but you son can make some pretty cute micro-scale MOC. Can't wait for more. Quote
Mr Man Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Just seen the N-1 fighter It looks very nice, in fact it looks like an official TLC mini (not too accurate at the front, but TLG's minis aren't especially accurate though). Quote
Blackknight112 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 That is very good. the rear engine is a bit too big but for 6 I don't think that matters really. That are wise words! Wel, I think he has done a great job. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 A huge to your 6 year old 'Lego-maniac', AWESOME work - you can easily see it's Luke's landspeeder and of course a Naboo starfighter - those micro figures - very clever ! Tell him to keep it up and may the brick be with you both always ! Quote
CommanderFox Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Man, I'll have high hopes for my kids now. He definitely has skill with bricks! Both mini's are excellent, as Mr Man said the middle engine is a tad bit to big but it doesn't really matter. Looking forward to more! CF Quote
lego-maniac Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 That is very good. the rear engine is a bit too big but for 6 I don't think that matters really. he takes your remarks with attention. He'll work on it this week (sorry he has been punished of one day without lego...) Quote
Big Cam Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I think these are good for anyone, especially a 6 year old. The landspeeder is my favorite. Quote
BrickArtist Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Great Micros! Your son has a lot of talent, can't wait to see what he starts making in a few years! Has he done other MOCs as well? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Wow, looks like you have a mini-MOC expert-in-the-making lego-maniac. Those are extremely well done for a 6-year old. The shape, color, and overall design are pretty much spot-on. Quote
StoutFiles Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 He has been inspired by a creation of microscale Death Star seen on Flickr (still looking for the link..) You aren't by chance referring to the Death Star ornament are you? These are really good though, not for a 6 year old but for any age. My one suggestion would to make the rear of the Naboo fighter a stud longer in the back so you could move the cockpit back a stud. The cockpit is more towards the rear of the ship then the middle in relation to the wings. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Got a budding AFOL here, eh? Great job, dad, making sure he knows what the OT craft look like! Make sure he doesn't get bitten by the CW bug! Sorry, KDM. Couldn't resist. Quote
R5-N2 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) Really nice... BRAVO... My favorite is the Imperial Landing Craft Edited January 7, 2011 by R5-N2 Quote
lego-maniac Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 You aren't by chance referring to the Death Star ornament are you? No, that's not this one ! I've found it !!! It's Marin Stipkovic work Quote
Stardusty Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 My favourite is Y-wing. It's extremely well done. No, that's not this one ! I've found it !!! It's Marin Stipkovic work -snip- Now I can say that I know him. Well, he is one of the best MOC-ers in Croatia and he is brilliant with SNOT. Quote
lego-maniac Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 Great Micros! Your son has a lot of talent, can't wait to see what he starts making in a few years! Has he done other MOCs as well? yes but a lot are not already on our blog : http://legomaniac.canalblog.com/ chose "minilegomaniac on the right ;) He's mocing a lot and I'm in a hurry for shot his moc with my cam. Moreover when his moc is done, it's dismanteled... on of the last is his entry for the lego speeder bike contest ; old one like this : Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Those are really great for someone that young! The Republic Gunship is definitely my favorite. Glad to see he likes Star Wars. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Your son definitely has some skills. That Y-Wing is excellent, and the RGS is very well done, too. The ARC-170 is probably the weakest, but even that is instantly recognizable. My son shows no skills like this. He's still into random brick piling, and absolutely no sense of color continuity. But he'll get there eventually. Quote
lego-maniac Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 That Y-Wing is excellent, and the RGS is very well done, too. The ARC-170 is probably the weakest, but even that is instantly recognizable. Yes he knows the wing are too too short but he said that he likes it like that because it seems to have been cartooned ! I prefer do not make too much remarks and keep encouraging his creativity, but I don't know why but your comment are all keeped into consideration and he says : "they're right, I'll try to improve " thanks a lot for your kind comments, be sure that he's very very proud. other ship will arrive soon ;) to be continued Quote
