On his Brickshelf gallery, "Barman" has an entire page of possible Lego Technic Parts that could be created someday. He has many "Technic elements I have designed for fun. I had a lot of comments so far. If you want tot reacted sent your comment to barebos@hotmail.com." He anticipated fairly well the new piece featured on the top of the boom of the new 8067 Mini Mobile Crane/ Tow Truck:

Which of these other desirable pieces below do you think The Lego Group (TLG) will manufacture someday? Since new Lego part molds cost US$100,000 to create (see this Eurobricks post for proof), TLG isn't going to introduce new parts without being able to use them in multiple sets. Here are SOME of Barman's ideas -- do you like them and would you use them?/b][

Barman is creative i have seen it on lowlug.

Never tought to place here .good job !

Interesting designs, though I'm not sure I see the point of the 13_extension_tube_5L piece. Wouldn't it just end up being somewhere that 2,3 and 4L axles got permenantly wedged? What advantage would it have over the normal axfe joiners?

I think the extension tube is the best. I don't really see what makes the other parts great, but that may have something to do with my lack of interest in the studless system (maybe combined with my lack of experience in TECHNIC building). Well, the extension tube would be most welcome for driving suspended axles, but I'm sure there will be many more possibilities. Something like this can be created with a worm gear, but that's not very compact, make it limited in it's usage.

Well, not entirely TECHNIC related but I think Barman's design for Minifig-scale vehicle steering is great as well.

Good Topic!

The two sample you mentioned were nearly realized as Barman has designed them, the latest part with the new Backhoe.

It is also interesting to see one of those (top right) being realized some time ago.

What I would really like is the top left one, really missing that sometimes :sweet:

I would also apprechiate if this

Could be realized, would give a good opportunity to get a lot of torque around a corner!

I think this was designed exactly for that: 87408.jpg

all of them are really great designs. all of them could be really useful.

That does not work for the knob-wheel, even the LA-holder piece can get pushed apart by torque. One satisfying solution I am using now is the technic frame 5 x 7, but that one requires a lot of space.

All of those designs are great! I especially like the extension tube.

These are some parts I would like to see:

Axle and Pin Connector Perpendicular 3L with Center Pin Hole, but I would like to see the + and 0 holes switched with each other. I have come across many uses for a piece such as this.

I would also like to see the axle and pin connectors in angles less than 90 degrees.

A 5x7 "L" shaped liftarm would be nice as well.

A 16T clutch gear (not the dark grey idler gears, but something like the white 24T clutch gears)
