Maegnus Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) Reference photos: Any other 80s kids around here who grew up with this awesome toy? MOC: Link to the flickr set I could have had custom decals made for this for added accuracy, but instead I used vintage glow in the dark stickers I got from ebay unopened from 1990. They were too cool not to use, and I think they fit nicely and help drive the context home a bit better than "foot stinks" for the layman. It also has a wind up motor applied to the back wheels for added play value. Edited May 31, 2011 by Rufus Indexed Quote
Solscud007 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Very cool. I like the roof of the van. I also like the cute little turtles in the vig you have at the bottom. Quote
Omicron Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 This the best MOC ever in existence. -Omi Quote
prateek Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 A bit boxy, but it does a good job recreating the cartooniness. Nice job on the turtles too Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Wow, this MOC is quite impressive, particularly the ingenious 'reverse'-studded build and the clever use of the minifig legs for the roof. The colors and details are pretty much spot-on, and the playable functions are nice additional features in this build. Great overall job Maegnus! Quote
Internets Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 This the best MOC ever in existence. -Omi LOL I think I agree. Look at April and Casey! Quote
dr_spock Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Great MOC. My family of TMNT fans approve. :) Quote
Zepher Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Love the final scene at the bottom, the turtles are adorable, and the masked man (sorry, I know the character and not the name) is well done. The actual vehicle is also well executed, though detailing the insides would probably be good. The stickers are another great idea, and shows both commitment, innovation, and really just compliments the whole build very nicely. Quote
