They've just announced a new game.

There are some images and it is being published by Warner Brothers, developed by Hellbent Games and produced by TT Games.

To save me time I've copied what I typed on Brickipedia:

It will have two single-player campaign modes - both good and evil - and mutliplayer modes.

The story is said to feature players retrieving powerful weapons and fighting battles, as well as featuring dragons and cameos from LEGO Battles characters. It will include let players to customize their own armies.

It will feature enhanced graphics, four new multiplayer challenges and two challenges from the previous game.

Sounds fun! Army customization? That sounds very cool. It is good that it has enhanced graphics, that was one of the only things that was lacking in the first Battles.

Why did Atlantis not get a videogame! On the up side I am glad that LEGO is releasing a LEGO Battles sequel, the first one seemed fairly good and this one looks even better.

I tried the Lego Battle and didn't like it. I wonder how much better or fun this version would be.

Its would be just like Lego Battle but Ninjago styled, right?

From the screenshots, it looks fairly different. For starters, Ninjago is more "character based", and none of the screenshots show more than one of the same character, so there might be a lot less army-building. Also, the dragons seem to be involved, and are at a much different scale than any of the units or even buildings from LEGO Battles. So I actually think the gameplay should be considerably different.

The potential difference worries me a bit, because I actually enjoyed LEGO Battles greatly, and am afraid this might not be a similar experience. Also, since it focuses on a new theme with no real forerunners, it probably won't have nearly as much nostalgic value as LEGO Battles. But then again, I didn't expect much of LEGO Battles initially, and only played it after getting it as a Christmas gift. Maybe LEGO Battles will be just as surprising.
