alanboar HK Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) It is the great landscape (Medieval Fantasy ) which made up by 6 HK creators (Castle AFOL). They spent out lots of time combine the 6 BIG picese to the huge landscape. You can find many interesting details and the theme. In the end of one side , you will find the LOTR 's cave of moria. In other side, you will find the flower-sea and the huge castle. In the middle, the realty medieval village and army is found. It is the good reference from my friend HAGGER!!! Append, the creators of this lanscape is : Azlan, BadLeo, Eric Mok, Antony, THe other chinese name, I will post again with Eng nickname... Edited January 26, 2011 by alanboar HK Quote
Athos Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 That is super cool. There are some great pictures there. The field of flowers was really pretty. Steve Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Nice. My favorite part would have to be the little village, but the landscaping is terrific and all the things that are hidden inside it are very well done. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Amazing. What a wonderful collaboration of these expert builders to come up with this stunningly beautiful and massive Medieval Fantasy diorama. The whole build is truly enjoyable to look at in the pictures, what more in real person. Lots of interesting and fantastic scenes, but my favorites would have to be the dragon-guarded waterfall amidst the floral surroundings, the Cave of Moria, and the nice crocodile scene. Congratulations on this outstanding masterpiece! Quote
L-space Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Beautiful work guys. This is putting medieval fantasy to the map. Huge castle and the cave at the end is my favorite with the grave to top it off. Quote
lisqr Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Fantastic work! The way it's presented reminds me of traditional Chinese scroll painting, where you'll have a very long scroll with independent yet connected scenes. I think it's a great way to make large moc less overwhelming, yet still grand. Quote
Wowplayer Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 WOW I love it Especially the huge flower patch. So much detail. Just wow Quote
comicbar Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 the beauty of keeping the whole thing thin and long is ... 1, people can really see all the details creators put into the set 2, much easier for people to take photos of all the details 3, creators would earier to "match" different sections with less effort ~ Quote
BadLeo Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 OMG!I find myself on the 1st Picture~ Thanks everyone who like this "Medieval Fantasy World" (Haha, we forgot to give it a name) Here are those Creators Castle (Ethan Leung) Water Fall & Flower Field (Eric - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=1050782206&aid=72204) Keep (Antony Tam @ batisbricks.com) Farm (BadLeo @ legostories.com) Town (Hopeso009 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/24713) Hill & Cave (ArzLan - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/26814) and all if us under LegendBricks.com :P http://www.facebook.com/legendbricks (Ad too much, sorry :P) our plan on next year is double of it, wish more player can play together~ Quote
Albero - BEL Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 The whole landscape is amazing but the thing that really caught my eye is, surprisingly, the small outpost-castle in the market. It's sweet and well done and it could be a perfect LEGO-set. Quote
Ingrimm Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Awesome! I love everything, the underground tomb , the dragon cave, the flower field with the waterfall, the marketplace, the beautiful castle and the fantastic medieval town! All fits perfectly together. Quote
kevin1990 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 This is really a great layout, it all fits together perfectly, this is impressive, and one of the best castle layouts I've ever seen!. very nice build guys! :D Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Fantastic MOC! It's just covered up entirely with a medieval feeling. I really like the small village and the cave hideouts. The castle is great too of course (although I feel like the castle-moat should have been made of Lego) , and even the big tree is very nice. Excellent work Quote
Hive Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 This is simply jaw-dropping. Amazing work, guys. Quote
fred67 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 What can anyone say except WOW! That's just absolutely fantastic work! I'm still working on my microscale castle, and recently took it apart to plan for doing it on a much better landscape, and you guys put me to shame. I'd like to add that when I first saw the supports at the far end (away from the castle), I thought you were just going for lighter pieces with less filler bricks... but seeing the tomb, then, was a fantastic "surprise," and this layout's got so many surprises, it's just amazing, I could look at it for hours. Yet... after all that, the thought that keeps nagging at me is... "that poor pig." Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 OUTSTANDING... Child or adult, AFOL or otherwise, who wouldn't be impressed by that???? This would turn even the most uninterested heads, and is a true testament to how Lego, even system Castle sets, can be elevated to a form of art. Great job, gentlemen! Quote
Etzel Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Very, very impressive! I absolutely love the landscaping, nice smooth green fields and detailed cliffs The small village is also a favourite, the houses fit's together nicely and the guard towers gives good height differences. Great work! Quote
Alopex Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 This is just amazing! I love all those details, like the crocodiles and the flowers... Quote
WhiteFang Posted January 28, 2011 Author Posted January 28, 2011 OMG!I find myself on the 1st Picture~ Thanks everyone who like this "Medieval Fantasy World" (Haha, we forgot to give it a name) Here are those Creators Castle (Ethan Leung) Water Fall & Flower Field (Eric - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=1050782206&aid=72204) Keep (Antony Tam @ batisbricks.com) Farm (BadLeo @ legostories.com) Town (Hopeso009 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/24713) Hill & Cave (ArzLan - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/26814) and all if us under LegendBricks.com :P http://www.facebook.com/legendbricks (Ad too much, sorry :P) our plan on next year is double of it, wish more player can play together~ Hey BadLeo, Glad to see you joining up Eurobricks. I have updated the first post with the nick/names of these awesome medieval layout! WhiteFang Quote
I Scream Clone Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 What an amazingly detailed collaborative effort! Love the style of the castle, the lovely town centre the large dwarven mine and all the greenery. Just a lot to take in all at once. Quote
ziljin Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 That is absolutely amazing. I really like the water near the castle. Looks like real waves! I wonder how they achieved that look. Quote
blueandwhite Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 Wonderful work! What really makes this effort stand out is that the whole thing is incredibly coherent. Many large collaborations like this are marred by inconsistency as the different building styles of each of the contributors clashes. In this display, the entire thing seems like it could have been built by a single hand. Everything works well together from the castle to the underground hall. I've only seen a few other groups pull something like this together so kudos to you guys for your amazing work. Quote
maydayartist Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 This is absolutely perfect! The six builders design works perfect together. Everyone has his own kind of bricking but in this gigantic area is no difference between the single locations. Ok west germans and netherlands, who will do this with me like this guys? Quote
Angeli Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 so many fantastic details... I love elevation of the terrain and the thumb beneath ;) What is the name of this MOC? what do they call it? Quote
